1. No, but I saw all of the parents rolling into school late with their
kids. Late night. :hi:

4. I have an 8am class. Many were late. More than usual.
Even my professor commented on it.

2. Well, this is from Sludge but hopefully it is accurate:
FLASH: FIRST DEBATE 37.7 RATING/45 SHARE: PRELIM NUMBERS OVERNIGHTS: NBC WINS COVERAGE WITH 12.2 RATING/17 SHARE, CBS 8.7/12, ABC 8.2/1, FOX 3.6/5... ... In 2000, NIELSEN estimated live, tape-delayed telecasts of first debate on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Fox News Channel, CNN and MSNBC averaged 31.7 rating/49 share, seen by avg 46.6 million viewers...

Earlier it said it was seen by 55 million viewers.

3. I'm glad the networks got the best ratings and not FOX

they showed more splitscreen shots. Also great to see that CNN and MSNBC got clobbered.

45 share, btw, means 45% of people with TVs on were watching the debate. Mass humiliating exposure for Bush. :)

5. Drudge's TV numbers are usually accurate
And he usually gets them way before anyone else. I don't know who is source is for this stuff, but it's the only thing besides the links that makes his site worth going to.

6. He may have access to the early Nielson ratings
Many media sources do, but some don't do much with them.

His ratings are from Nielson, which is the main TV ratings authority.

7. I'm fairly sure Nielson doesn't include CSPAN viewers

9. I'd love to see a C-SPAN rating
Probably not as big a share as the others, but probably sizeable.

8. Yeah, I don't know where else to get those numbers or else I
would go there instead.
