ABC has a point bounce for bush after the debate? |
|
What the hell? Must be a sampling anomoly. Perhaps the shrubbery's poor performance and the Senator's great job have not yet been made public enough? I'm baffled. http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/politics/Vote2004/debate_poll_040930.html

3. The idea you would base any conclusions off a flash poll is shocking. |

6. And even more shocking that the debate ended less than 24 hours ago. |
|
WAY too early to see the results of the debate in the election polling.

5. Kerry also went up a point, too |
|
It takes awhile for polls to reflect change. Right now, I'm just glad to see Dems energized!

7. You can't take a poll at 11 p.m. on one night and believe it is |
|
representative. How many people are still awake and answering this phone?
Anyone who has taken Statistics 101 knows what ABC is doing here is not a simple mistake - it is willfully misleading. We won't know what kind of bounce Kerry gets for another couple of days.

8. a flash poll of 531 people |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 03:03 PM by sonicx
with a 4.5 margin of error.
and
<<Among debate viewers, 35 percent identified themselves as Democrats, 35 percent as Republicans and 24 percent as independents.>>
in 2000 and 1996, dems out voted repubs by 4 and 3 percent. Will that be similar this year? probably.
