Freeper genius: Kerry purposely made Bush's necktie crooked!
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1232859/posts

I noticed something last night.

G.W. Bush's necktie was askew. It looked unprofessional. I wondered HOW in the heck that could have happened.

Then during the replay, I saw how it happened. When Kerry greeted Bush, Kerry held on to Bush's hand as Bush was walking away. Bush was forced to awkwardly stretch his torso, dislodging the correct placement of the tie.

I initially thought it was all happenstance. But on further review, I saw that Kerry made a point of adjusting his tie after the handshake, just in case the manuever dislodged his too.

Maybe it was an accident, maybe not. I think not. If anyone has contacts to Bush, please advise them of this possible purposeful action, or at the very least, MAKE SURE BUSH'S TIE IS STRAIGHT. I was focused on the tie, it looked so sloppy.

1. A) Who gives a f*ck about Bush's tie?
B) If this guy really thinks that made a flea's brain worth of difference, then he really really needs to lay off the Koolaid.

C) Kerry is so Machiavellian that he can do this without anyone on Bush's side noticing, but he's unable to stop the Smear Boat Vermin. Gosh, such awesome but strangely limited powers.

D) See A.

Since the flea has a bigger brain than Junior does. :dunce:

8. No, you've got a ways to go for that.
My favorite ever was this idiot who did his own scientific analysis and decided that he had figured out what caused the Great Flood in the Bible. It had something to do with Mars suddenly moving close to the earth, staying there for a month, then moving on it's merry way.

It was the most hilarious piece of garbage I have ever seen posted anywhere. Unfortunately, I don't have the link anymore. I so wish I'd saved it.

27. No, I think this was a rare instance that Clinton wasn't blamed for.
Funny thing is (IMO) this guy is assuming God is omnipotent, but instead of using his omnipotence to simply pull the water to one side of the planet on his own, he drags Mars out of it's orbit and uses Mars' gravity to do the work.

Kinda funny too that Noah and his crew didn't even notice an enormous planet hanging overhead for a month.

62. Hey it was raining pretty hard! Can you see a planet through the clouds?
And let's remember that the Earth was definitely considered to be a flat surface at that time point. If Noah HAD seen a planet, how the Hell would he have known what it was?

Besides, with the hard rain, I doubt they ever went above deck for more than a few minutes at a time, and that was just due to the stench of the animal shit. If I had been Noah, I would have snuck a few extra dung beetles on board to keep the crap level & stench down. They don't take up that much space, and I really don't think God would have minded.

Of course, that probably made Shrub's whole little body all off-center... forcing him to make an idiot of himself in front of the entire nation. I bet if we go back through all the times he's been an idiot, we'll find an off-center tie. We should ban them... make a constitutional amendment against neckties!

10. May I add another stupid freeper comment
Just returned from the dark side, the freepers think Kerry
got the answers ahead of the debate and Bush didn't.

And to prove it they said Kerry didn't need any time to think before responding. LOL!

This is one of the posts:

To: shield
Bush was also not given the questions before hand. skerry was so he had
someone write a speech for him and he gave his speech.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed that. Kerry didn't need any
time to think and respond to the questions - it sounded like he was
firing off canned answers.
I've been checking Drudge all day waiting for this story to start
"developing..."

They think it's a story that's going to start developing. LOL!

I can't stop laughing.

15. There wasn't a single "out of the blue" question asked
I bet if we tried to guess the questions that would be asked before the debate on this board, we would have come up with 90 percent of them, if not all.

Kerry probably would have answered all those questions in normal debate preparations.

37. Actually, there was the question Dubya was asked about ...
Kerry's fitness to be president. Dubya was blindsided by that one; and that's where he made his statement that it wasn't going to happen because there was no doubt Dubya would win.

Jon Stewart's comment after replaying that statement: "My God, there's not going to be an election?"

54. Speaking of Jon Stewart
Anyone who's read his book will appreciate this:
You know in the back where there's that chart of how to score the debate? Well, I actually did that (I know it's nerdy). Final tally: Bush +1, Kerry +28. On top of that, realizing I was heavily biased against W, I tried to be extra hard on Kerry. Still no help for Chimpy. I actually had to make up a few new categories for scoring:

EQ (lose two points): Evades question

OBL (gain one point): Any mention of Osama Bin Laden not in the same sentence as Saddam Hussein

Af/f (gain one point): Accusing opponent of "flip-flop"

cBL/H (lose two points): Confuses Bin Laden with Hussein

W (lose two points): Whining.

Other factoids: Kerry mentioned Bin Laden in answers to 6 of the ten questions. Bush only mentioned his name twice in the whole thing. Bush accused Kerry of flip-flopping 5 times. Kerry said Bush "changed positions" 3 times. Bush said "noo-kyoo-lurr" three times, "Vla-duh-murr" (Putin) twice and broke the rules first by addressing Sen. Kerry directly first (with regard to his daughters and the leash).

and I believe Jim Lehrer. However, as someone posted above, any informed person could have predicted every one of those questions. The debate was narrowly focused on terrorism. What the heck else was there to ask about? W's tie?

and playing with the Freeper's minds (if you can call their robotic mentalities "minds"). It's too outrageous. I've thought myself of going on FreeRepublic and goofing on Bush by describing him as a better orator than Demosthenes and proclaiming that he gave the greatest debate performance in American political history.

All the rational thinking people have been banned from FR.

There was a time, they had some very intelligent discussions, from a conservative point of view.

Free Republic is like a Bush/Cheney Rally; only the true believers allowed in. And it makes no difference what loopy, looney, thought process you use.

Kerry's people put thirst drops in the water, and itching powder in his shorts. That's the only explanation I can possibly think of.

There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile,

He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked Whitehouse.

46. Freeper complaint: Kerry shook hands too long
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 04:26 PM by GeorgeBushytail
A post on the freep forum:

--
More Debate Observations...Why didn't Kerry let go after shaking hands?

The liberals are always too cute by half in debates.

Kerry refused to let go of the Presidents hand after the pre-debate handshake and greeting.

This forced the President to "pull away". You could see Kerry smirk as if he just got his first shot in before the debate even started in his attempt to get W. off-stride immediately.

---

Hey, If Kerry did that on purpose, hats off to his savvy. I love the way freepers are clutching at straws to shake off the nightmare of the debate.

HA! Lets get busy and make them numbers even more amazing!!! Poll is on the right side of the home page here.

The Freepers are hilariously awesome.

They got accused of being a hate group by our Fresno City Council's Human Rights Commission. I always see them protesting on one of our main streets.

However, my favorite ones are the ones that advocate a civil war if W loses. They are the best. They remind me of the chicken hawk that was on the foghorn leghorn cartoons.

them a crying towel and let them whine. Pathetic little creatures that they are. Big and tough and don't even know when to feel sorry for a thief and a liar. Where is their chiristianity to pray for this sinner ! If he were to get the election he doesn't win. He doesn't because we will make life more miserable the next 4 as he did us the first 4. But I think Kerry is a creat closer and anyone who votes for Bush has got to have an Iq lower than Bush. I want my commander in chief to reach puberty at 12 not 40 after a drunken stupor and want to think he can be in control of himself, and a nation. You just don't wake up and become an adult and that is Bush's problem. Sobriety for so short a period of time and that constitutes adolescent behavior. Compare that to public service and an adult life to Well I have failed at business, owned a baseball team and had to be bailed out, I found God but I don't go to church and now I am president. Of course I am not doing too well, I have screwed up the planet but hey, I'm still young . Maybe I won't totally turn us into the Roman empire by 2008. Thats how I see it !
Thanks but no thanks I vote for the adult ! The one who grew up and didn't stay drunk half of his life !

95. talking points on the tie issue
Bush did not anticipate the mess he would create by leaning into the handshake situation, he didn't have a plan to fix it, and the tie remained a mess because Bush was too stubborn to change course and correct it.

The tie was a catastrophic success.

Kerry managed to switch their ties. Notice how Bush's was blue and Kerry's was red? Kerry secretly changed their ties and Bush lost his perspective.

Without that tie to properly identify himself, poor ol Bush couldn't really identify himself or his opponent.

105. The first thing I noticed
was when they came on stage, Bush entered first. It looked like possibly Kerry was showing deferment to the president, kinda like taking the first bow, but the result was that Bush wound up crossing much more of the stage for them to meet. Possible psychological effect of leaving him hanging? Making Bush look like the junior, rather than senior exec, as in the corporate CEO does not approach his subordinates, but makes them come to him.

Kerry one up, without a word spoken. I had to laugh.

in their thread:

" also noticed that Kerry ate an onion & garlic sandwich and chased it with skunky German beer, thus making Bush's eyes water. Pass it on. Okay...maybe he didn't do it on purpose, but hey..."

Full frontal dinner attack!! The bastard Kerry--has he no respect for the office at all? I sure hope the poster made this up.

"Red ties are "power" ties, unless that's changed lately. Kerry is on a "power" trip since he must surely, like Al Gore, think the Presidency is his birthright since back before Vietnam."

Saying Kerry is on a power-trip is like saying W must think he's running for Lord Supreme Ruler of the Universe, with God as his right hand deity. And talk about birthrights!! Pot, meet the kettle. Kettle, pot.

The scary thing is I'm sure some of them over there have college degrees.
