Anticipating a Rovian Dirty trick..the C-SPAN split screen...
I am anticipating that in the next debates, Rove will not want C-SPAN to have that split screen that revealed Chimpy's reactions....

So what to do? Do we email C-SPAN, asking them not to change their format? Not bring it up, and howl madly when, in the v.p. debates Cheney is saved by not showing his scowling mug?

Thoughts? Suggestions????

1. Email C-SPAN,
thanking them for maintaining their journalistic integrity, and asking that they continue to do so.

6. exactly. Fox was the subversive one.....
not cspan - they just took the available feed and ran with it.

i remember noting a couple things about the split screen too.

one that they lowered the image of Kerry so that he and Bush were "head to head" and that the bush camera was a bit scratchy.

9. Are we sure that C span didn't have its own cameras?
The shots looked so different...I know you can crop and move the image around a bit...but I switched back to the "mainstream" a few times and it just looked like completely different camera work.

15. Yes, they did
We were watching CNN at our debate watching event last night, and they did lots of split screens.

I don't think you can enforce them NOT showing split screens, can you?

5. Faux was operating the pool cameras
for the debate. I think the agreement was no camera on other candidate while one was speaking but the networks balked and said they didn't agree to that.

Will * pull out of the remaining debates because the of this?

7. If so, he will be seen as the most yellow-bellied turd EVER.
Seriously, pulling out of the next 2 debates would make him appear EXTRA cowardly.

It's better to remain quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

16. That is why W's podium was higher than Kerry's and looked closer
Kerry looked like he was standing in a dark corner compared to W.

And STILL spanked that ass.

I don't think he will make the same mistakes again.
At least, I can't imagine it. He will look more presidential in the rest of the debates because despite what his handlers say, they know he looked like a lemon sucking prig last night.

13. CSAPN took multiple camera feeds from Faux
and showed the split screen through the entire debate. That was the best coverage of the night.

12. Well I sure hope they keep it up
Though I noticed that they made Kerry and Bush look like they were the same height by adjusting the cameras in such a way. Bush's lectern was higher up than Kerry's and made him to appear to have an equal height.

14. Email CSPAN now and tell them you think their split screen is great.
That way, you're fine whether Rove does something or not.

17. Split Screen
The reason why the debate was on split screen was because of Karl Rove, he was sure Kerry was going to blow it. He did not believe Shrub would be the loser.

Kick Rove in the butt!!
