Wacky Freeper debate quotes
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 04:35 PM by GeorgeBushytail
Freeperland is filled with more than the usual fear, denial, paranoia, and anger. I watched the freeper debate thread live and it was very entertaining. There was so much negativism over *'s bumbling that they were accusing one another of being DU trolls. ;^) There were are over 3,000 posts in their debate thread 2. I snipped quotes from only a few.

Here's a link to the thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1231992/posts?q=1&&page=1#1

Collect some of your favorites and share them!

Enjoy.

Kerry is making Bush look like a boob - stupid and incompetent.
Bush has to get TOUGH. BE SPECIFC. SHOW people what a lying opportunist he is. The average joe won't get it unless BUSH SAYS IT !
--
This whole mess is arranged to make GWB look like he's on the defensive. My blood pressure is sky high, and I just can't watch any more.
Praying for President Bush.... Kerry ... he's a monster if ever I saw one.
--
OK, memo for Bush's debate prep team: No more programmed talking points. Let Bush be Bush.
--
Bush has won this debate and the DU trolls know it, ignore them.
--
>Phhhhhht!!!! Go back to DU.
Please get over it and show some respect. rwfromkansas has been here for 4 years and you've been here a month. Not everybody is agreeing here tonght.
--
I see W as the Winner.. He just knocked Kerry out of the park. W is stable... he does not flip-flop. He puts American first!
----
This debate sickens me, maybe because I care so much.
---
What is wrong with people here? Why is everyone sounding so defeated? Just imagine what the MSM would say if tomorrow all the conservative talk shows - Laura, Rush, Dennis, Michael, Hugh, ect. were talking like some people here are. We know the MSM will give Kerry a win, but conservatives shouldn't. People, please stay positive!
--
I feel like I'm reading the D.U. tonight. SO much negativity about Pres. Bush.
-
This sure has become a negative thread though. Rather hard to believe these are Bush supporters.
--
GOOD GOD, SOME OF YOU SOUND LIKE THE RATS OVER AT DU! IF YOU HAVE NOTHING BUT EMOTION, NOTHING AT ALL, STFU! THIS IS FREE REPUBLIC, NOT FREE CARS FROM OPRAH!
---
To me it seems like Bush has forgotten all the things Saddam did too! WHY DOESN'T HE MENTION ANY OF THEM?!!!
GOD HELP HIM....PLEASE!
--
The problem is Kerry is spewing certain lies that are taking Bush off his game, and he is stumbling around a bit. This may be his weakest debate performance to date.
--
There are millions of Americans who (wrongfully) think Bush is shallow, dumb, airhead, an idiot.
I don't think Bush has changed a single mind.
There are countless millions who belive the Dem lies that Bush lied time and again...
Not only did Bush not change any minds, but I'd bet my bottom dollar that he's added millions more to the ranks by NOT CHALLENGING SKUMBAG SKERRY.
--
Did you hear when Kerry caught Bush in the Saddam did not attack us on 9/11 moment?
What was Bush's response....."of course I know OBL attacked us."
THAT was his response? THAT!!!!!!!!!!
THAT WAS INCREDIBLY WEAK. THAT ONE LINE HAS COST US MANY VOTES TONIGHT.
--
Bush is like Reagen in that first debate. He sounds beleaguered, and his plaintive tone is unpresidential.
He is on the defensive, and is the LOSER in the debate. He invokes the extra reburral when he has lost the point, and doesn't know enough to let it go when he has little more to say.
--
I went in thinking Bush would be the powerful victor. but Kerry owns Bush in this debate.
I hope no intelligent undecided voters are watching.
--

Ahhh. I smell Victory in the air today!

4. Wow, they're squirming hardcore...
...and the one's who aren't are delusional. I can see them now, knees to the chest, rocking back and forth, blank stares: "stay the course...thousand points of light...stay positive..."

YES!! Thank you, Kerry!

7. Have you got a link to that thread? I can't find it.
Aaahhhh, what a relief after these low weeks following the GOPig convention. I can't wait to watch Real Time with Bill Maher tonite.

Now, just sit back and wait for Fahrenheit 911 to hit your local Blockbuster Video store.

We'd better enjoy it while it lasts! These people are very dangerous when they find themselves in a corner. They don't care who they blow up! If Kerry moves ahead and stays there, you can pretty much count on another 9-11 to put things right for Bush. Willie Horton's not gonna cut it this time.

11. last night on local radio
a frustrated freeper called the host of a non-political radio show:
Freeper: "Well Bush sounded more like a regular guy and Kerry used fancy words like "nuclear proliferation. Who knows what that means?"
Host: "You mean you don't know what nuclear proliferation means in this day and age? Then you sir, are too dumb to vote"
LOL

13. Defensive?
This whole mess is arranged to make GWB look like he's on the defensive.

Well yeah, a second-term election is partly a referendum on your actions during the first term. And the challenger gets to talk about what they'd do differently, seeing as we've seen what the incumbent does. That's just what you have to deal with when you get to be the person acting as president. Tough.

15. To all DUers who go around accusing people of being FReepers...
...you can see now that your actions are genuine FReeper tactics in and of themselves. Any time they try to give out sober assessments that might not favor their side, you see accusations fly. Well how do you like it now that we have solid proof that you people do things that FReepers do when they're out looking silly?

17. Good point
I'm fairly new on DU (just broke 100 posts!) and I've seen a few such accusations here. Last night in Freeperland the paranoia level was so high it was a constant theme.

I wonder how many DU's did troll there? I was enjoying the debate too much to do more than glance at their forum for comic relief occasionally.

16. The best quote was...
"I had that feeling that Kerry had the questions beforehand. He seemed to have his answers right on target. Bush seemed like he was surprised by the questions.

I wish they could investigate to see if the DNC got a hold of the questions beforehand."

27. Remember the scene from 'Deep Blue Sea'
When the Samuel Jackson character stand up and gives the, "NOBODY is going to panic - we have ALL GOT TO STICK TOGETHER!" speech and then a shark pops out of the water behind him and drags him to his death?

That's the Scene the Freepers are doing.

Pure Comedy.

28. My son is hearing the same comments at his work.
He says most people have made up their minds for either Bush or Kerry. The * partisans were complaining about his lousy performance. They are saying it was so bad they now think Kerry will win.

It is not nice to enjoy the misery of others.
