I've heard of two people who said this at
different times...one is definitely a Republican
and doesn't like Bush but said it was better
to keep with the "devil she knew" than switch
to one she didn't. Another, one who is a
feminist and I thought liberal used the same
phrase.
How to switch their thinking?

Where is the common sense out there? It's SO OBVIOUS who the most intelligent is. I'm sick of having such a damn stupid president! I would think everyone would want someone who can communicate and work well with others.

I realize its hard to fight the "can't change the horsemen in the middle of the Apocalypse" argument but we certainly can.
Kerry will bring of season professionals BACK into government, maybe even keep some of the less wacked Bush/Cheney Administration members for a while to help in the transiton.

may appoint at least one Supreme Court Justice in his next (G-d forbid) term AND probably overturn her right to choose. Does she have a son/grandson/nephew? He may be called up to fight the next neocon adventure- in Syria? Iran?
Tell her the Devil she doesn't know will not do these things and supports scientific research to find cures for ailments which may affect her and her familiy in the future.
