1. I'm hoping...
for a Dean/Clark, Clark/Dean ticket. Bush and Rove would soil their drawers.

4. That's probably going to change since Kerry is going to go after Clark
He has to. We're going to see Kerry start hurling the same kind of shit he's been hurling at Dean for months. We'll see if Clark has anywhere near as strong teflon as Dean does. It's going to be nice to have Kerry going after someone else for awhile. :D

7. I hope Kerry comes after Clark!
Judging for what it has done for Dean, it's the kiss of victory!

I was NOT expecting this rise in NH
Remember, the plan was finishing third in New Hampshire, and doing well in the South and other places.

The Gore endorsement made me worry that it was all over--then, as if out of nowhere, we might finish NH at 25%. (I REALLY doubt we're going to win NH...)

It's a rollercoaster, and I'm feeling very optimistic. What more, if Dean does win, I'll feel much better about it--he'll have won in a good contest.

14. that pic is very symbolic
... of why i'll never vote for Clark.

the militarism, the thinly disguised (or undisguised) enthusiasm for beating, dominating, "kicking butt". that's not a mindset that belongs in the white house. Clark is a career military guy whose much-touted foreign policy "experience" consists mostly of making war on countries. his supporters constantly use his military background as an excuse to explain his republican voting record. but then they claim he's such a "brilliant" man. why did it take this supposedly "brilliant" man a lifetime to see thru the repubs?

15. fortunately
the number of people who have a knee-jerk response to all things military is small.

If it takes a general to save 1.5 million lives in Kosovo, then we need more generals.

16. This knee jerk bigotry against the anyone associated with the
military is getting tiresome. Particularly in Clark's case where he was always a maverick who excelled in the military environment but was never consumed by it. The fact that he sacrificed his military career to 1) try to rouse support for stopping genocide in Rwanda and 2) successfully saving 1.5 million ethnic Albanians in Kosovo shows how ridiculous it is to make Clark out to be some stereotypical military officer.

9. Wow...
Kerry keeps dropping and Clark keeps rising.

This will have to be one of the stories on the talking head shows this weekend.

11. I wonder if the 35% is locked in for Dean
If it is, then a Dean vs. anti-Deaan scenario will need to develop. If not, then he could drop on his own.

12. My gosh! This is more than even Clark was shooting for, I think.
A strong third place for Clark would've been awesome...after all, he's only been in the race for a few months, and that's not his neck of the woods. A strong second place? Very interesting, indeed. A preview of more good news to come?

13. Actually, our guy announced he was going for #2 (eg, the A-Team)
I think what you see here isn't a surprise to the General. This is just his game plan working out. I expect him to level off around 25% and end up 12 points behind Dean unless Kerry somehow wipes out in Iowa. As Hannibal Smith used to say, "I love it when a plan coming together."
