Carl Cameron: What would Bush do? Deny access! Kerry should, too.
If Kerry denies access for Cameron, it will become a story which will expose Fox for what they are, and certainly discredit Cameron, who deserved it even befor the "metrosexual" fiasco.

What do you think?

1. Agree completely.
Don't make a big deal out of it. Just quietly ban him and let Fox do the 'splaining.

2. If Fox doesn't quickly reassign Cameron...
...the Kerry campaign should quietly insist. And, if quiet doesn't work, then make it public.

3. Disagree
It would be acknowledging Cameron to ban him. He doesn't deserve the honor of that kind of acknowledgment.

18. That whole "ignoring the problem" doesn't work anymore...
... the Not-So-Swifties proved that. They hurt Kerry and his standing in the polls, no doubt.

12. On the West Wing, CJ would figure out a way to get him to dance in his
lingerie down the aisles of the bus.

13. He "mistakenly" posted to the FAUX website a piece with lots of stupid
sexually- tinged quotes he made up about Kerry.

It was childish.

But I know how hard it is to "mistakenly" post a piece on the web.

6. I'd keep him right where he is.
In fact, I'd send a nice, public letter to Fox News saying that the Kerry campaign hopes that they will keep Cameron on.

Then end the letter with a sentence that says something like, "We believe that Cameron is a fine example of Fox News' "Fair and Balanced" reporting, and do not wish to have him replaced with a less competent or more biased Fox News employee."

10. But who would see that letter? The idea is to make it a news story.
The other networks would gladly publicize it.

7. excellent suggestion
Look, Howie Kurtz isn't going to mention this scandal. Neither is Bernie Goldberg or Hannity or Rush or Drudge or any of them.
The only way this will get any kind of attention is if Kerry denies Cameron access and forces Fox to either explain a new reporter on the trail or suck it up.

8. I agree.
I've read the alternative view that it would be seen as an overreaction, etc., but I think the Dems need to get some balls when it comes to the media. Falsely attributing quotes to the candidate crosses the line.

11. If they play it right, it could also expose instances in which WH reporter
are shut out. Bush has completely shut out Helen Thomas. God love her, she's hanging on for the Kerry administration, and I hope that she's the very first reporter called upon in a press conference.

19. Just one more reason..
in a long, long list of reasons to get Kerry elected. That will be a great moment for democracy.

is in no position to be running around questioning anyone's he-man masculinity credentials.

I'm certainly not a homophobe, but... I mean, really.

21. I don't get their obsession..
with Kerry's skin care and grooming, windsurfing and cycling attire, etc. I think they are simply exposing themselves. If nothing more, to pettiness.
