Kerry Has Never Said That Any of His Votes Were Based Upon Deceit!
I have always wished that Kerry would have, along the way, come out and said that he would never have voted for any of the Congressional initiatives, bills, et cetera, if he and his fellow members of Congress had not been deceived by the false reasons that the Bush administration had presented to Congress and the American people for attacking Iraq.

I realize that any Democrat would not be a viable candidate for the Presidency by the media and the subsequent spin, which would revolve about the many buzz words which have been, and, would be slurred against any candidate taking the position that our purpose in Iraq was doomed from the start.

Going back to September 11, 2001, the resolve of the American people should have been that our country combine our resources with the very compassionate world community for the heinous attack upon our nation. We should have clearly understood , also, that there are many factions in the world community which are not sympathetic to the abuses of the international power which we exert throughout the world; many times, for our self absorbed convenience and comfort.

In many ways I am hoping that Kerry is “riding” a fence toward the perceived commitment to continue in our involvement in Iraq….“only better”. I had wished that he would have been able to state that he, and many other members of Congress, would not have voted to allow the current resident of the White House the freedom to resolve the terrorist threat to our country by creating the quagmire in Iraq.

Iraq never was an imminent threat to this country. There never was a connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda. My understanding is that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were behind the attacks upon our nation on 9/11. NOT Saddam Husein and Iraq. There no WMD’s. There were Al Qaeda ties to Iraq. There were no “yellow cakes”.

There was a most deceitful presentation by the current administration to convince the members of Congress, including Kerry, to support its agenda. We were all deceived. I don’t believe that implies we are all “flip-floppers.

Unfortunately, the environment that Bush has created in Iraq has only exacerbated those entities which resent the ever present power of the United States in our irresponsibility to be a leader in the world. It is not possible to backtrack from the gross errors which have yet to acknowledge in the damage which we have produced in the stability of that region of the world.

In any event, I sincerely hope that winning the peace in Iraq, in Senator Kerry’s perception are more focused upon getting our troops out of Iraq as soon as possible. And, may we pray to GOD that the people of Iraq will be able to find their way, because, we certainly have not provided a well characterized profile of hope.

Why didn't we just KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), and, clear Afghanistan and "bin Laden" before we moved another piece on the "CHESSBOARD"?
