The PERFECT point to nail Bush on.
"I see on the TV screens how hard it is".

It's ideal. It's perfect in SO many ways. Bush is in a bubble! Bush's only knowledge of what combat is like comes from the evening news (unlike Kerry)! Bush thinks you CAN know how hard it is from watching the evening news! That's completely delusional, he's living in a fantasy world. He doesn't have a CLUE.

Letters must be written on this point specifically. When ANYONE does post-debate analysis over the next few days I want to see them talking about how Bush knows all about how hard Iraq is because he saw it on TV!

This could easily be Bush jr's equivalent of when Bush Sr. was absolutely amazed at the bar scanner at the supermarket. I mean come on... he knows how hard Iraq is because he sees it on TV????? He thinks he CAN know how hard it is by watching it on TV????

It's beautiful!

3. It fits right in with the "bush* fantasy world" spin
One more sign of how "out of touch" with reality he is.

4. but does he watch tee vee?
I kinda remember reading some where that * said he doesn't read news papers or watch tee vee. He relies on others for that info. I may be wrong!

5. Yeah, it's hard work watching our troops dying
and children being slaughtered every time I turn on the damn TV.

Has anyone in the media picked up on this yet?

he sees children pulverized in Iraq and povertized at home.

6. I also liked
"I understand how the world works..."

Coming from the most incurious person to ever hold that office I thought it was pretty amusing. It was also supremely arrogant since there are people who devote their lives to learning and never come close to what Bush has picked up through apparent osmosis.

7. Here's what the Rude Pundit had to say about that:
http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2004/10/president-stupid-rude-pundit-may-be.html (second paragraph)

"The Rude Pundit may be baffled by the rhetoric, but did the President actually say that he understands how "hard" war is because he watches it on TV? Said Bush, "And it's hard work. I understand how hard it is. I get the casualty reports every day. I see on the TV screens how hard it is." Motherfuck, the Rude Pundit occasionally watches Fear Factor, and he wouldn't claim he understands how hard it is to eat a pickled pig sphincter, let alone fight an urban war. And what TV screens is he watching? 'Cause, you know, unless he's been watching a bootleg DVD or download of Fahrenheit 9/11 or is tuned into Al-Jazeera, Bush ain't been seein' jackshit about what's really going on over in Iraq. When Bush is crouched down behind a burning Humvee trying to hold in the ripped-up guts of his buddy, trying to figure out when to time a run for help so he doesn't get shredded by the bullets whizzing all around him, then he can claim he understands how hard it is to be a soldier in a war. (In one of those "Goddamnit, Kerry" moments of screaming at the television, Kerry should have fired back at Bush, "You watch it on TV? Lemme show you a scar in my leg and you tell me who understands better how hard war is.")"
