I hope someone warns Kerry that in the "front porch debate"... |
|
not to let George disguise his incompetence with his "one line slap stick"smart ass replies, complete with gestures (shrugging shoulders, head bobbing chuckling hands out) stupid rhetorical questions trying to make Kerry appear foolish. He'll have a live audience and this comedian's funny stuff seems to appeal to emotions of the low brow repugs and their laughter could drown out Kerry's logical Presidential approach. I hope Kerry is ready for all that.

2. Kerry has been doing genuine "front porch" events all year |
|
Bush never goes before any audience that Karl Rove has not hand-picked. We saw incontrovertible evidence last night of how much good that does him.

7. don't be so sure Rove won't handpick the next debate |
|
It will not be a typical town hall. Figure Rove to have plants in the audience both to make Kerry look bad and * good. In the 2000 town hall debate, they planted a black man to throw a softball question about capitol punishment after * had looked heartless in the previous debate. Isn't Gallop handling the audience selection? Plus in general the questions are not going to be like Jim Lehrer getting to the gist of things, and not getting to the gist of things is a chimpy speciality.
Kerry will have to be ready, but if anyone can do it, he can. I think the next pres debate will decide the election.

3. I'm sure Kerry and his trainers have studied every * debate so thoroughly |
|
that they could recite them. It really showed last night. Kerry, although he didn't address Bush directly, kept beating the chimp back. It truly was a bloodbath in that respect.

4. It is clear that Bush's performance was intended |
|
once again to appeal to his lower income, aw' shucks base. However, he misjudged Kerry and his ability to maintain a presidential poise that totally eludes Bush. The next debate Bush will pretty much strut out to 'All Hail the Chief'. The great non economist Bush will then present all the reasons why the rich should get richer and the poor should stay poorer while the middle class supports them both.
Will it work? No.
You can't beat class. Kerry has it and Bush couldn't buy it for all the tea in China.

5. Kerry did so well because it think Georgie was trapped into |
|
a debate of pure Logic because of the rules. With the "front porch rules and a live audience, Georgie will try to show off and entertain at Kerry's expense.Georgie's campaign can't take another ass kicking like last night.I do hope the next debates are just at least half as good as last night. If so, it will all be over except for the shouting.

6. Kerry has a way of making Smirk look like a twit |
|
just by standing nearby. So that will help a lot, I think.
Also, Kerry is such a statesman and a class act that Smirk's class clown act ends up looking pathetic in comparison to Kerry.
After 9/11 and the mess in Iraq, people aren't so sure we should have the class clown as our President.
I am looking forward to seeing this next debate for sure!

8. Here's the perfect comeback if Bush tries this comedy shit |
|
"You know many of your supporters may find that amusing but what is happening to our country and its image in the world is no laughing matter. Too many times this President has chosen to try to be amusing to divert attention when serious issues are being raised. I don't find any of this amusing nor did I find it amusing when the President jokingly looked under his desk for WMDs at a time when our soldiers were killing and being killed for the deceit and misinformation about the very thing, WMDs, that the President originally said was the reason for invading Iraq. I really find that offensive. We must be serious about what we are asking our country to face now and in the future."

9. a tie is as good as a win... |
|
i think we just need to "not really lose" next friday night. it doesn't take much to make a majority of voters (undecided or on the fence) to say "hey, i wanna be on the side that's winning". i've already seen it happen since last night.
"voting FOR Kerry now" is the greatest democrat slogan. ever. :)
WE ROCK!

10. Kerry is VERY STRONG at town hall events |
|
I've seen him and he is very comfortable, funny, witty, genuine and of course very well informed on any issue that is thrown at him.
The Chimpy Factory is worried.

11. Start spreading the word around that Bush is going to make a joke |
|
Out of the debates and that he doesn't take our country seriously.

12. Will they be dressing down for this debate? |
|
If so, I think Kerry will be able to appear to be a regular guy. His suits look way more formal and, pardon me, he looks slightly funereal compared to Bush. If suits are de riguerre, he needs to have a suit that will not look too formal in that setting. (post alot. I'm trying to get out of the 700s)
