Leno just did a Kerry/Bush comedy routine . . . . . |
|
. . .with himself as Jim Lehrer, asking the questions. He ripped the Bush a new asshole to go with the one Kerry ripped him last night. IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!

14. because some of his jokes repeat right wing talking points |
|
such as the flip flopper thing. most don't care when he makes fun of him in other ways such as the way he looks or how he marries rich women. but the flip flopper thing is mostly just repeating and pushing right wing talking points.

...comedy is all about being able to laugh at yourself. People who are flexible can do that. Stiff, inflexible people can't. If you make a mockery of all their lies, it makes them look like the fools they really are.
The Monty Python troupe were masters of that kind of comedy.

It was like Dole falling on the Podium all over again. LMAO! SNL should make hay out of Bush's performance from last night.

3. One of Jay's questions was, "President Bush, can you give us a list |
|
of countries you cannot locate on a map? Let's see, there's Mexico, Canada ..."
Bush: "He forgot Poland!"
Hee!
To Kerry: "You've been married 10 years. How do you keep the excitement going in the bedroom?"
Kerry: "I have one position. One consistent position..."

. . .I liked the part where Bush seemed to be trying to remember the alphabet: Uh, A , Uh , and then Leno held up a notepad with B written on it BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !!!!

19. Unbelievable, we are actually winning the media for a few days |
|
The hosts and talking heads are all but irrelevant when you have spoofs like Leno's and the repeated shots of Bush's petulant behavior. Plus I love it they also show the opening handshake repeatedly, for some reason.
Leno was absolutely brutal to GW, depicting him as juvenile with the Kerry cartoon and stupid with the alphabet and Poland gags. Kerry came out completely unscathed.
What did GW expect, when he dodged press conferences for 3+ years and had no sharpening debates in primaries?

21. GW expected fawning fans and |
|
arse-kissing cronies, I guess. He's surrounded himself with them in every venue he's had control of... the 30+ pages of debate rules were his attempt at controlling the debates, and even with all those rules, he still thought his mindless repetitive sound bites were all he needed to declare another "mission accomplished"
Heh.
