Joe Scarborough fawning over Kerry
I tell ya, this guy, even though he is a admitted right-winger and often leans towards O'Really and insHanitty delusions, has suprised me. He has had some great pro-Kerry analysis in terms of the Kerry Crushing of Shrub. Not bad for a Florida Republican IMHO.

SCARBOROUGH: .... I‘ve heard some people earlier this week act contentiously towards those of us who would ask that question after the debate, did they look presidential or not.

I think it‘s an important question. I think it‘s an important question because I think that‘s what Americans are looking at, especially from a challenger.

I want to just go around the table here and ask. Who looked more presidential tonight? I‘ll answer the question first as a Republican. I think John Kerry looked more presidential ....

2. He did the same thing immediately following
Kerry's speech at the DNC. He's a whore of the worst kind.

9. Yeah,
these guys know where their bread is buttered. Even if all of the Bush whores start cheerleading for Kerry once he's elected, I will still think of them as whores. They've done a huge disservice to the country over the past four years. I will continue to support people like Molly Ivins, Mark Morford, Joe Conason, the folks on AAR and many others who voiced dissenting opinions when it wasn't the popular thing to do.

3. Hell, who knows, maybe he can be turned
Don't laugh. The first time I called an Ed Schultz (local) show, was two days after the election of 1998. He was still firmly in the GOP pocket, and gave a two hour free live remote of his show to the GOP's pre-election day rally.

THAT will be the media story.

6. I don't think that will fly
shrub will have to either over compensate for his ticks and temper or will lay back. He can't do the same thing again, or it will be a disaster. i don't think the media or the people are giving him the same pass that they did in 2000. he is the damn president after all...

7. When Scarborough is being fair and honest he is utterly charming..
and likable. I can't help it. I kind of like the man. I rarely watch his show. Sometimes I've caught it when he was being honest and charming. Sometimes I've caught it when he was being a repuke shill. I'd like to see a little more consistency before I become a viewer.

Don't be conned.

Remeber, this is the guy who left Congress after a dead intern turned up in his office.

He's playing the expectations game in advance of the next debates.

12. Internal Polls
Would be willing to bet (not much the * economy has left me broke) there were some internal NBC polls before the debate as to what a likely reaction would be to a Bush meltdown. This suggests to me they are actively trying to protect market share among viewers. If there is a shift to Kerry direction which seems likely given * awful performance, Scarbutt will have his foot in the door.

13. Mr. Scarborough can never turn to our side
I know some folks like to put out the theory that he can turn, but if that were to occur, don't you think there will certainly be a thorough investigation of the Lori Klausutis matter?

17. Who else noticed...
following the debates (I watched C-Span) the post-debate callers and I'm talking about B*sh supporters here inadvertently referred to Kerry as President Kerry? They didn't even realize that they said it. Despite their desperate attempts to say B*sh won, even they subconsciously knew Kerry was Presidential.
