Ultimate November surprise if K/E elected? |
|
Perish the thought, but what would happen if "somehow" one or both of them were either kidnapped and/or (god forbid) met their demise through "mysterious circumstances" (cough) sometime between the election and January 20th? Would the administration try to have the election results thrown out?
NOTHING would surprise me at this point.

1. Per the U.S. Constitution, Edwards would become President if |
|
Kerry were incapacitated. If Edwards were to suffer, then Kerry gets to select another VP.

I have always thought that if Kerry won the election, our biggest worry may be what would happen between Nov 2 and Inauguration Day. Maybe not even your scenario of kidnapping or demise(cough), but there are all sorts of other possibilities.

5. If K/E elected I would not be surprised if a "terrorist" attack were to |
|
happen, then going to martial law, and keeping the same "leader".

6. I still remember the troops the GHWB sent to Somalia after the |
|
1992 election and before Clinton was sworn in. That insured that Clinton inherited a poorly planned mess when he took office. I can't imagine what GWB is capable of. MKJ
