Got to Prepare For "Osama In Chains" Special -- Bush's Secret Weapon.
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 09:41 AM by WiseMen
There is at least a 50/50 chance that Bush will bring in OBL
before the elections. If they don't have him already, they are now
certainly putting enough money and pressure on Pakistan and troops on the
border to find him soon.

So, no more talk about "why haven't they captured Osama," but
"why did they let al Qaeda masterminds escape from Afghanistan
to build terrorist cells around the globe."

We must talk as if killing Osama is now irrellevant since they
let his operatives disperse and allowed the organization to
mutate into a multi-headed hydra being fueled by a new wave of
hatred inspired by American atrocities in Iraq.

Kerry must now say "Bush has created a nightmare of new terror
treats, but in Iraq and around the globe."

1. Not going to happen. I hear what you are saying, though.
Osama is in Kashmir. Bush fucked that one up. Bush would love to have him, no doubt. Kerry killed Bush on this point Tues.
Kerry needs to continue to point out how the mastermind of 9/11 is still free to plot against us, and ask the question "Do you feel safer?"

3. NO DOUBT.
KERRY must say, "Al-qaeda was a disease, BUSH has made it viral".

4. You are right, Osama is irrelevant. Things are too out of control in Iraq
and Afghanistan. Bush won't be satisfied until he has brought the fight to our door steps.

5. God dammit. It's a 10/90 chance AGAINST him doing it.
And there's nothing we can do about it. If he does it, Bush wins.

FORGET ABOUT IT. Stop worrying, for fuck's sake, and keep hitting Bush with Osama.

6. That the whole STUPID Iraq mess
Before Iraq, Osama COULD HAVE BEEN the focus. But Bush let him go off to spread his poison. Now, even if Osama were caught or killed, his recruits have spread too far and wide to be dealt with easily.

So not only was Iraq a diversion, but it was horrible mistake in terms of timing, resources, strategy, and human life. By going after Saddam when we should have gone after Osama, we lost our best chance at nipping Al Qaida in the bud.

Its too late for Bush to trot out Osama. Al Qaidi is now bigger than Osama, Al Qaida has a life all its own, and all Osama can be at this point is a martyr.

If BushCo has Osama, they better forget they have him and keep him locked up, or kill him, bury his ass in the desert, and walk away.

7. You're right. There's boat loads of Osamas out there now. The capture
won't stop the killing, Al Quaeda is now a 'movement' of thousands, not just one man. Thanks to bush* and his bludering, blithering stupidity.

Showing the capture of Osama will just ignite a fire that can't be put out. The insurgency has been kidnapping and executing people because they wanted the release of the women in Iraqi prisons. Can you just imagine what's going to happen if Osama is led out in chains and handcuffs? Killing him will be even worse.

If we would have gotten him in Afganistan, we wouldn't be faced with this problem. But no, he had to go with the neocon wet dream of Middle Eastern domination and control of the oil fields, and we are now between the proverbial rock and hard place.

8. Amen
Like I said, for America's sake, if BushCo has Osama I hope they never reveal it. Let him disappear into a hole in the desert and never be found.

11. Thanks, that's good.
That's good. I also hope they don't pull it off, but laying groundwork of it not being the same victory today as three years ago is going to be wise.

13. Honestly I think he's dead.
I think he may have died in Tora Bora. None of the audio tapes have been proven to be recent, in fact weren't some proven to be recored previous to the Afghan invasion? I think he is dead, not that it puts an end to al-Qaeda.

14. CIA: Bin Laden tape likely authentic,
CIA: Bin Laden tape likely authentic

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/01/05/binladen.tape/

On the tape, the speaker described the U.S. occupation of Iraq as the beginning of an occupation of Persian Gulf states for their oil and makes other references to events in the last few months.

Al-Jazeera broadcast the tape Sunday.

A CIA official said a technical analysis of the audiotape compared it to samples known to be of bin Laden's voice and showed that "it is likely him."

15. No, if they find Osama, the media will be on it til election night
There's nothing Kerry can do about that. The media is what it is.

So I say he should go ahead and keep hammering Bush on it and still mention that Al Queda is growing.

16. They can't capture and/or kill Osama now...they really can't
Even if they capture him...once they advertise it, you will see suicide strikes against Americans EVERYWHERE, the likes of which you have never seen...they have made the Iraq war SUCH a crusade, that the minute they parade Osama out....there will be immediate reactions from hardliner suiciders...those strikes are not predictable enough for them to manage.

17. Too Little, Too Late -- Its been THREE years already.
In an era of cell phones, fax machines, and e-mail, this guy has already had enough time to set up a reasonable back up plan for his eventual capture. I'm not going to get too excited about it. Its a "whatever -- what took you so long?" type of attitude from me.

For those of a religious nature, I remind you that Jesus was able to "change the world" in about the same time with less technology.
