Why I think Bush lost the debate
He doesn't believe in what he is saying anymore. That is why is performance was so lackluster. It's must be getting difficult to repeat the same lies over and over. Anyone else think this could be true.

1. he never did believe in what he was saying; he simply doesn't
care. His only motives are to get what he wants, what Rove wants, etc. He can repeat lies a million times; truth means zero to this sociopath. He is more concerned with what he can put over on people and get his way through any kind of manipulation. He can lie as easily as he can sleep or smirk.

2. Could be.
The Smirk's not stupid. Just morally bankrupt. Could be he's having conscience pangs.

3. i agree
though i dont think he ever believed what he said. the real reasons for invasion were always different than those he has stated. he just looks desperate because he knows we are not buying his line of complete and utter bullshit.

5. I'd say cognitive disonance
except you have to have a cognitive faculty first. Have you noticed that he gets less able to speak as time goes by? I seriously do think he's either drinking, cracking up, or suffering from some degenerative mental illness. That's why I think he's going to suck at the other two debates too.
