Will there be a debate parody on SNL?
Is this something that is done during every Presidential year?

1. They may just play the actual tapes ....
it would be hard for any actor to compete with Bush's parody of a president.

10. Jon Stewart keeps saying that he wants to be on a network
And he should because he is really cool.

What could we do to encourage a network to pick his show up?

12. Aack! That's the worst thing that could happen.
They would muzzle him in no time flat.

Besides, he just signed a 5(4?) year contract with Comedy Central.

6. i'm sure they will, most likely open the show
with them. I would love to see Will Ferrell come back for a guest shot as Bush.

9. Yes there will BUT....
It will not touch on anything real. It will make fun of both sides equally and won't call anyone out on anything important. I will guess that they will make fun of an "orange" face and Bush's pronunciation.
I may be showing my age when I say this, but I remember when SNL was ballsy and didn't pull any punches. They came out and made fun of politicians for the *real* reasons they needed to be called out. They were great. These days, they're as cowed and scaredy-cat as the rest of the media. I don't even bother to watch them anymore. The reason they were great is because they were defiant. This is no longer true. They aren't even funny anymore IMO.
PS If they do happen to get some balls, I will eat my words.
