Well, I imagine that most people believe that looks have nothing to do with how well one can run the country. Unless, of course, they believe that one's intention or character is manifested in their looks.

Or something like that. Do you see what I'm getting at? How could he word this?

(I am of the opinion that Cheney's evil shows on his face, and so does Bush's)

1. 3/4 of America would go
Huh!

You gotta put it in simple language the bowling league can understand.

"Don't hate me because I am beautiful. I don't hate you because you are ugly. I hate what you have done to our country."

9. No, no, no..
All we would see for the next month would be clips of Edwards saying "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful." He would be a laughingstock.

15. Yeah, very bizarre when you think about it
The republican party formed as the abolitionist party and based in northern states. When Teddy Roosevelt was president, he ran as a progressive republican with environmental conservation and corporate trust-busting as two of his main objectives. Very bizarre how a party that originally (up until almost 100 year ago) did so many good things has turned into the fascist party it is today. I think the three biggest threats to this country are terrorism, corporate greed and religious fundamentalism. The republicans openly represent the last two and Bush's oil/vendetta war in Iraq is make us a HELL of a lot less safe from terrorist and weakening the army. The track is on really scares me. Getting Bush out of office is a necessary first step, but we'll still have a lot of problems after that too.

14. Edwards has said in the past...
when compared with the Breck girl, "Oh, I think I'm prettier than the Breck girl." He has a good sense of humor about it. He gets a lot of remarks about his good looks. I'm sure he could handle yet one more.

But really, part of his good looks are a result of good health. Edwards eats right and exercises regularly and doesn't smoke. He takes care of himself. That's a bit part of his good looks. Cheney, on the other hand, has a serious heart condition, no doubt resulting from years of eating fatty foods and not exercising. Best for Edwards not to make a comment referring to Cheney's heart, I guess, but it wouldn't hurt for Edwards to make a comment to the effect that he tries to eat healthy and exercise regularly, which he finds gives him energy for long WORK days.

Being healthy does enable someone to be a better worker.

making a reference to healthy living in response.

Or maybe: "It's hard work to look this good." ;)
