About the second debate, two words:
Charles Gibson.

Folks, he'll do everything in his power to ensure a Bush "win" in this debate. He's one of the biggest rightwing schills of all.

Perhaps more dangerous than overtly partisan tv folks, because of his perceived fairness.

Occassionally, he'll let his true side out, like he did when he reamed John Kerry in April:

I'll never forget how angry I was after this interview. Gibson was giving all the RNC talking points, and if you'll remember, when he was done, as Kerry was pulling off his mic, he said something to the effect of, "wow, these guys are doing the RNC's work for them."

I expect he'll do the RNC's work in this next debate as well.

Expect no less.

1. I imagine
The orders have already gone out to all media to make DAMN sure * "wins" the second debate. Thankfully, we'll at least have video evidence to the contrary.

2. Did you see this related story?
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/Politics/Vote2004/swift_boat_objection_040917-1.html

ABC News executives objected immediately to the ad, which Swift Boat Veterans for Truth said it plans to air in two Western states.

"Today, a 527 group began airing a new political attack advertisement which employs footage from an interview conducted by Good Morning America anchor Charles Gibson with Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. The heavily edited material was taken from a much longer interview," said ABC News Vice President Jeffrey Schneider. "ABC News did not grant permission for the use of this footage and objects to its use for political purposes. ABC News never licenses footage to any political groups for campaign advertising. ABC News has asked the creator of the ad to cease from using ABC News' copyrighted material."

5. Why can't we have a panel like in the primaries ?
I also think the Dems should refuse certain biased anchors.

4. He is suposed to get the questions ahead of the debate and I am sure
he will share them with his butty Carl Rove.
And shrub will come out with prepared answers to all of them.

7. I think the rules ARE that the questions will be given to the candidates.
Or did I hear wrong?

Not for the other two debates, for this townhall mtg. debate.

6. We should keep track of the questions that are asked
in terms of pro-Kerry, pro-Bush, or neutral.

Before the debate, we should let Gibson know that we are counting. We should also say that if he doesn't act like a journalist, we will call for a boycott of ABC and Disney.

8. Kerry Has The Advantage Of KNOWING This About Gibson
IMO, if it's really apparent, Kerry SHOULD MENTION IT. In a somewhat humorous way.

10. My question is: Who the fuck is
Charlie Gibson? He is not a "real" journalist. He co-hosts a goddamn feel good, be happy show in the morning. He's just a face people are familiar and comfortable with. Have we no fucking standards anymore?
