Volunteered at a street fair today--HUNDREDS of K-E pins

were worn for every Bush-Cheney pin I saw. I'm in a Dem stronghold but I was still surprised. People are definitely motivated to get out the vote.

1. I worked at our headquarters today, in the county seat.

There was a massive street fair going on. This is one people drive 150 miles to attend.

We gave out 300 K/E signs, ran out of bumper stickers and pins. We asked for donations, and got them, too.

We tried to give out signs first to people who actually live in the county, but we gave that up after awhile.

It was a great day.

When I lived in DC I much preferred to head into Maryland than down into Northern Virginia. I might have to rethink that. It seems Virginia might be coming around to our side more and more.
