I was watching CNN and couldn't believe that they actually said this. Basically they said Bush is asking for a do-over type deal. He is trying to say everything he didn't say in the debate. I believe Kerry campaign response was,"We have already moved on and they are stuck in the past." Damn if this is true then that should be Kerry's new campaign motto. "He is so stuck in the past that he thinks 9/11 had something to do with Iraq!"

2. Isn't a do-over a flip flop from staying the course?

4. Video Game Mentality

I sometimes think Shrub really does think this is all just a big game, and he can press "reset" any time his decisions don't work out quite the way he planned. He not only doesn't admit his mistakes, he outright ignores them, as though they didn't happen. He's too busy on his playing the game after a reload.

And what's worse is that he doesn't learn from thsoe prior mistakes. Whatever moves Shrub's brain would get an AI programmer fired.

On a broader level, I sometimes worry about future generations who have been raised on this idea. Hit rest. Reload the game. Start over. Doesn't matter if you blow up the world, you've always got more quarters.

6. Quite apart from all the hoo-hah about it...
... this says one thing: His political handlers know that Bushie-boy fucked up, royally.

There's no mistaking that. Whatever advantage he has as the incumbent is dribbling away. And Rove and Hughes know it.

Let's hope the press keeps asking him questions about what's to come, rather than the past, so they don't give him a chance to play catch-up.

7. The coWard has had people covering up his mistakes all his life.
Telling him what to do, giving him entry to the exclusive schools and business connections, getting him out of the messes he has created, etc.

When he's on the stage with John Kerry, being questioned and challenged, and examined by the American people, he has nobody to turn to.

He's a pathetic pice of shit.

8. This is unbelievable - asking for a re-do. Karl and Karen could
not have said this. Right?

Must have been Jr or Babs. Right?

9. details, pls! did he have an actual press conference? or was
this just garbage he was spouting at one of his beerhall rallies?

I can't believe he'd be so brazenly stupid to say something like this; to admit such abject failure

hope this WAS a press conf.. CSPAN should be replaying it sometime soon

can't wait

thanks for the welcome anyway

and this IS fun!

been on the phone for much of last few days, celebrating, making plans for election night parties, etc

too early, I spose, but it's a wonderful change from the previous six weeks, ain't it?

and did anybody see Scarborogh last night?

Kudlow was CLEARLY drunk, or worse! he could hardly keep his eyes open, and was amazingly obnoxious, even for him
