Karl Rove and me have one thing in common, we know that ridicule works in the political arena.
In year's past, Gerald Ford became a victim of it by Saturday Night Live.
So have others.
Rove has used this to perfection. As most Americans were becoming acquainted with John Kerry, but to lazy to put in the time to find out the facts on their own, Rove and his Swiftliar allies defined Kerry with the echo of Fox News and other media whores.
It worked to perfection.
Even though most Americans believe that Bush is on the wrong track, rushed to war in Iraq, and is doing a poor job on the economy, he had a robust lead until now.
We must pick up this tried and true technique, ridicule. Our fellow Americans respond well to this.
Let me give you some examples that worked today among my co-workers and Friends.
Me, Q. "Are you going to the wake?"
Co-worker, A. "What wake, who died?"
Me, A. "Bush's last remaining brain cell, I think it's lying in state"
Me, Q. "Do you think Bush's long Alcohol and Drug abuse had anything to do with his looking and acting like an idiot during the debate?"
Them, usually no answer.
My reply, "Fox News said he usually is in bed early, so he wasn't on top of his game because the debates were so late." A pregnant pause and then I continue, "I hope the terrorists don't strike at night next time"
Try these at home and at work, I haven't had so much fun since Nixon's impeachment hearings.
Watch Saturday Night Live, I bet they jump on this technique tonight.
