Heads up: CSPAN has the 2000 Cheney/Lieberman debate on
I can't remember how Cheney debates so I'm going to watch. May Edwards be much harder on Mr. Halliburton than Lieberman was.

3. Any indication from CSpan that they plan to
replay last week's debate? I didn't tape the whole thing, just the last 20 min. or so. I'd love to get the entire debate on tape.

4. Very strange camerawork by CSPAN
A split screen even though the candidates were sitting maybe three feet apart. The main networks were placing them in one picture simply by pulling back with a wider camera angle. But this is what another DUer wrote today, CSPAN uses split screen every debate regardless of format, even town hall.

I watched my tape of this debate two weeks ago. Very questionable if Edwards can turn the debate into a more collegiate and confrontational discussion than Cheney prefers. Cheney was able to hide his jackass personna vs. Lieberman and came across as respectful, well spoken and thorough with effective mannerisms. Of course, he didn't have Bush's abysmal record or Halliburton to defend at that point. And Lieberman didn't seem inclined to directly challenge Cheney on anything, especially after being trumped in the exchange regarding Cheney's massive nongovernmental (Halliburton) income.

5. I'm wondering if it will be split screen universally from now on.
With Bush's odd expressions in the last debate, I wonder if the bigger networks will play it in podium watch..

8. kind of boring
and strange to see the topics based off of prosperity and what to do with large surpluses.

I can't believe what 4 years can do.

and yes, this is incredibly boring. On the bright side though, Edwards is going to easily out shine Mr. Halliburton if he gives this kind of performance.

11. That one wasn't even a debate.
It was a friggin lovefest. I can't even tell you how disgusted I was at the time. That debate was one of the things that pushed me into the arms of Nader.:puke:

There is no possible way that Edwards could do as badly as Lieberman did.
