Bumper sticker sightings today
More of them are finally starting to appear. Today - all of them for Kerry/Edwards. I'm in New York State, so it's not as big a deal I guess, but it's good to see. I don't live in a particularly liberal county at all. And a Kerry/Edwards yard sign on the next block. That was surprising. You don't see presidential yard signs around here often. There are always a lot for local elections, but not national ones. There was also an NAACP sponsored voter registration drive going on at the mall. We volunteered to drive people to the polls.

1. Today, I saw ...

five Kerry/Edwards bumperstickers and two K/E T-shirts. Now, I live in a relatively progressive area of a blue state, so I've seen K/E stuff for a while ... but I've never seen so much in one day and I was only out for about 2 1/2 hours! :-)

3. I've see a K/E bumper sticker,
a K/E yard sign, a K/E T-Shirt and a K/E mug, all in the back of my car (I live in a very conservative area).

2. hey fellow up-stater!
I live in Washington County- heavily republican- but there are John Kerry stickers and buttons and signs beginning to appear- it must be giving the opposition fits! I think it's wonderful.

4. Hey neighbor
I'm over in Saratoga Co and the B/C signs that are out are with the local signs not alone so it must be the Repukes that are handing them out. I've seen mostly K/E bumper stickers though and a few yard signs. I was in VT this afternoon and it was like heaven, heavily anti-Bush*, anti-war (protestors on street corners in Bennington), and pro-Kerry all over.

6. Vermont IS a bit like heaven
Saratoga is pretty feisty too though- the anti war crowd was very visible, made my heart glad. I was in Schenectady a month or so ago and there was an anti war protest going on - a weekday morning too! I stopped to offer support. I love getting beep- beeped from a car with a Kerry sticker- we far outnumber Bush stickers upstate. (I travel the whole damn thing all week long). Do you go to any meetups locally? I've been to several - great way to meet good people in person. DU is the best virtual meetup place, of course!

7. I went to a Clark meetup
during the primaries but all the Kerry and Dem ones are somewhere south of Albany or in the city and I get lost there. Went to a moveon one for the Outfoxed movie in Saratoga. It was real good. Other than that it's been pretty hard meeting Dems up here. I'm here for two years from downstate. One house in Saratoga had a B/C yard sign and after the SBL thing started they switched it to Veteran for Kerry sign. That really felt good. I'm around Cilfton Park and it is real conservative. Not really redneck just pretty solidly Repuke, but still there are K/E signs and they are increasing.

5. KY bumper stickers
I live in the 6th district in KY (Ben Chandler terrority) so it already tends to lean toward democrats, but I swear, in the 2000 election I saw B/C bumper stickers all over the place. This year, they just aren't out there. I see a few here and there, but not like it was 4 years ago. I'm encouraged to see yard signs springing up for K/E and almost everyday I see at least one vehicle with a K/E bumper sticker.

8. I'm in TN
and I went to the electoral site where you can see how your state is voting wise and last time I saw (before the debate) we were heavy red (ugh) and now we're a light red so that's good! I see more anti-Bush and pro-Kerry signs then anything. I do see a few yard signs (it's pretty even) here and there in my general area. Tuesday my Mom and I are going to stop by the Kerry headquarter's here in town and get a bumper sticker for my car and a pen for my purse. :D I'd rather see bumper stickers I think cause of how your car travels around and a yard sign just stays there. Heh heh.
