Folks , we are in for as nasty a four weeks as
this country has ever seen . The people who are getting rich off this administration now realize that W is not capable of winning the election , so they will have to redouble their efforts to demolish Kerry and all Democrats . No trick will be unused and no lie will be too reprehensible . I believe that the Liberal internet community has had a positive impact on the race so far and we will have to be vigilent for every falsehood and quick to flood each news outlet as soon as the untruths are aired . Kerry has shown himself to be the person we all hoped him to be . I am confident that together we can change the direction of this country on November 2nd .

1. I agree
Ugly is just not a strong enough word.

I'm not sure this country can take it, honestly.

2. I agree, it is about to get brutal.

With Kerry getting a bounce out of the debate and the election tightening, Rove will go into smear mode. But Kerry needs to stay on the offensive, Bush sucks at defense.

7. Well then ...
Foolish consistency on Rove's part may well be his undoing.

Is it wise to resort to smearing, after the issues are on the table? Won't the tactic look even more contrived and signal exhaustion and vulnerabilty from their camp?

I would call that cutting off your nose to spite your face at this stage.

5. ALL the more reason for SERIOUS
media action. SERIOUS media ass-kicking action on the part of good Democrats EVERYWHERE.

Seriously guys, clear your calendar through the election. Get those typing fingers warmed up and start hitting the national media list and sending emails.

Keep those bastards on their toes.

6. Bring them on
A presidential election campaign reaches a point at which voters are very leer of off-the-wall allegations and dredged up crap from the distant past. That's part of the reason Shrub got a pass for the late story of his drunk driving arrest in the 70s. The country is now in the final election mode, focused on what the candidates are saying and what they stand for.
So, let the Repukes wrestle one another in the mud. If Kerry stays on message and batters Shrub with his own record we'll be fine.

8. We are in for a very hard fought victory... but we will win.
Of course the right will lie and use all sorts of dirty tricks- that is the strong suit of the BFEE.

But we will win, we will have to work hard at it, but we will win.

They will probably try to steal the election if they are desparate, but we'll have to be out in front on that.

I think we'll take the Senate too.

If we get the House, it'll be an utter rout!

10. If we retake the House or the Senate or ( dare I say it )
both ,the congressional investigation function will be operating in a target rich environment .

15. don't count on an investigation
If he loses, Bush will pardon his whole White House staff on the way out for any crimes they have committed... so, like father like son again. Didn't Lawrence Walsh - the Republican Iran Contra prosecutor - say that if Bush hadn't pardoned all those guys he'd likely be rotting in jail right now?

16. That is the only option TOTAL VICTORY we have to have a landslide to keep
them from stealing it again. The Rabid Radical Right will not give up easily. The margin needs to be HUGE or they will be able to use the crooked Evote to steal it AGAIN.

9. True, but Kerry has some teflon now
The voting public has a direct impression, an onstage trouncing of their self-described great protector. Kerry's favorabilities are way up and much less vulnerable to freefall, especially if he performs similarly in the final two debates, which he will.

I'm concerned about the final three weeks, after the last debate. Kerry needs to withstand all the incumbent advantages throughout that period and improve his day-to-day campaign message. That seems to be the case since Thursday night.
