who here is planning to take Nov. 3rd off? |
|
I am planning to take the 2nd and 3rd- I will be glued to the net and the tube. I will also more than likely be a bit hungover. Still haven't decided whether or not to invite a few close friends over to watch the returns or whether I will watch them alone- well, with you guys so only technically alone. (Hubby goes to sleep early, he'll be useless after eleven).

1. Naw, save your energy for the weeks of fighting and finagling |
|
We may need you at some county precinct 3 weeks after the election.

I would prefer a humongous Kerry landslide, and the thought of a 2000 style fight or much worse makes me ill, but I will be ready if I am needed.

11. It WILL be a landslide for Kerry |
|
but that won't stop the junta from trying everything to steal the country again. Look for really messy counting everywhere in swing states.

from poll-watching in NM. So I'll 'take off' the 3rd (hyuck hyuck!), and I plan on having correct change for the sterardess that gives me my drinks.;-)

3. I'm taking both the 2nd and the 3rd off |
|
And I hope that I can return to work with a smile on my face, but I suspect it will be worse than 2000 with several states up in the air.

9. I'm planning to take off both Nov. 2nd & 3rd.................. |
|
I'm trying to get with the Election Board here in Kansas City to volunteer my time staffing one of the polling places all day on Nov. 2nd.
I plan to sleep all day long on Wednesday to make up for the sleep I lost watching the election returns the night before.

working as a volunteer on the 2nd, attending a party for volunteers to watch the results come in and then a day of recovery from our celebration. Gee, maybe I better take the rest of the week off!

I have to work on the 3rd. It's the beginning of the new quarter at my school and I will need to be available to change programs. I can't even get DU at work since message boards are blocked. I'll be surfing for exit polls, though.
The plan is Dom Perignon if Kerry wins. Haven't picked out what if he loses but I'm more confident that he won't lose.

16. I'm closing my business for election day |
|
and giving all of my employees the day off with pay. I have strongly encouraged them all to vote and I already gave them a half day off last month to register to vote.

|
but I may have no voice the next day. I plan on running through the streets and singing- quite loudly in front of the houses of my neighbors who I know are republicans- "nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goooooooood byyyyyyyyyyyye!".

I am also taking this Monday off because it is the final day to register to vote in Texas and here in Austin it is 12 'til 12 day---a couple of hundred volunteers keeping a dozen registration sites open until midnight.
