DNC, MoveOn.org, and everyone who supports John Kerry |
|
The Bush camp has brought up the notion that John Kerry is a flip-flopper. I advise everyone who is supporting Kerry to use these words:There is a difference between changing you're position and learning. George W Bush is stubborn and doesn't observe what is happening around him. Kerry is constantly LEARNING by observing. This ability to observe and learn how to fix things has been with him all his life. He showed it in his younger years and will show it as President of the United States. If you do not believe me then watch the documentary Going UpRiver:John Kerry the Long War.

1. A woman asked me in the |
|
co-op today.. "why do they say Kerry is a flip-flopper?"
I said he's not ..Kerry has just evolved on some issues over time. And went on to explain the $87Billion that he voted against.. to her.
She said she was at the Farmer's Market with her kids and somebody said to her that her daughter had on Kerry shoes..and she said they were flip flops..I was pissed! I said it's good thing they didn't say it to me! I feel like wearing flip flops around town now.

Bush only contemplates two words at a time or less: "Yes/No", "Good/Evil", "Us/Them". Anyone who's ever spent more than five minutes considering any issue knows that nothing is purely black and white. It's a convenient way of thinking when you're trying to justify questionable actions but it won't lead to insight or understanding.
We've all been exposed to this. Back when we were just getting geared up to invade, how many of us were called terrorist sympathizers for wanting to take a different route? I keep waiting for the day when I order chocolate ice cream and the person behind the counter says "OH! So you think anyone who likes vanilla is an anti-American homo-humper do you!?!"
It will be nice to have a president that can see what lies between two extremes for a change.

3. Can't we just remind them that the man who said |
|
"Osama Bin Laden-- Dead or Alive!" Then let him get away and charged off to invade Iraq instead shouldn't be calling anyone else a flip flopper ?

5. Well one reason I posted it like this is because of the movie |
|
By saying it like this we boost or advertise the message of the documentary. We then get free advertisement for John Kerry by advertising the documentary.

It does seem, from other DU threads, that the movie has moved some fence-sitters to support John Kerry. So please excuse my diversion. I haven't seen the movie yet, but it sounds like it deserves our support.
