We need to start packing the theaters or we will lose credibility when it comes to liberal movies. So, everyone, at least, try to make it to the theaters tomorrow and bring some undecideds with you. If they see it, they will vote for Kerry.

Also, any central committee executive board that can't pack the theaters in their county for this movie should resign as totally ineffective.

1. I just got back from it...
An incredibly moving film. After it was over I heard a woman say "He just HAS to be president". I am so damn proud to be voting for this man.

2. Sadly, it isn't playing in this area! Guess the repugs
got to the theaters since we had F9/11 on for so long and it's now back in Roanoke. Probably repugs are boycotting theaters if they show it here.

4. It isn't censorship; but stragey
This documentary won't be in the theaters for long. I believe it was only suppose to be in theaters for one day. October 19th it will be on DVD. Amazon has it where you can preorder it.

3. It was supposed to be playing in a few theaters around me
but then they updated their website and these theaters disappeared from the list. Oh well, I'll have to catch the DVD, which is coming out on October 19th.

6. the trailer gave me chills
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 09:58 PM by Doosh
that image of kerry sketching a name at the memorial, just gave me goosebumps. At that moment he wasn't a lieutenant governor, he wasn't a senator, he wasn't a presidential candidate, he wasn't an anti war activist....he was just a man who misses his friend.

"we haven't finished that confrontation, we haven't learned those lessons yet"

damn right

The majority deals with the Veterans against the war movement.

11. In Orange County, only about 20 people were in a theater with seats
for about 400 during a Saturday evening show. The Democratic Party out here is not promoting Kerry in any manner, shape or form. They are taking in a fortune and using none of it for Kerry or any other candidate.

12. They're promoting Kerry...
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 12:36 AM by ClassWarrior
They have California Kerry supporters calling voters in swing states like mine encouraging them to vote JK/JE, volunteer to help the campaign, etc. I got one of those calls from a very nice gentleman this afternoon. Your electoral votes are safe, so your Dem Party is working to help guarantee ours.

It may mean it's less of a campaign for you - but trust me, we appreciate it.

13. Moveon's arranged that. The Democratic Party here isn't interested.
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 12:41 AM by genius
We've got a lot of Democrats in the County but in the last four years a lot have re-registered as third party or independent. The OCDP has a chairman who is supposed to be a Kerry supporter and he is doing absolutely nothing for Kerry.

17. I am so thrilled that I saw it

We saw it at a theater in West Los Angeles.

Show was packed and there was prolonged applause at the end!
