2. Oh fuck that asshole Russert
tht fat pig. He's got an impulse control disorder - he's about 325 pounds naked - there's a thought.

He was a big prick with his little blackboard 4 years ago and he's still a sumbitch.

Sorry, but I get carried away with that shithead.

Him, and Cokie, and Tweety, and all those CNN and Fox bastards, not to mention about 13000 others.

7. I watched it, taped it. I never got that impression.
Are you sure Russert used those words? Are you sure he was not referring to Bush?

The impression I got was one of a lot of fairness, and a lot of good campaigning for Kerry by Dean.

8. I didn't tape it, would you check the tape?
I think Dean did a great job - that line just struck me as biased, as if Russert doubts Kerry can win an election in which he is clearly "in the game"

14. It was kind of a clarification: "So you think he can still win"
Dean replied "Oh of course I do." :hi:

Russert was fair to Dean, I was surprised. I think Dean has much respect nowa dayz. :)

11. I think that may have been taped before the debate.
There was no mention of anything current. I had originally thought the same thing. WITF. Then realized all they were talking about was Dean's book.

Russert is a loose noodle who is in pain when he has to say nice things about Kerry. That's the insult. Why wasn't the program about the debate like it should have been? Tells you alot.

13. The whole world is not about the debate. I think that is an odd statement
It is Tim Russert's show. If he wants to have Dean on to discuss things he can. I find your statement very odd.

16. You are entitled to your opinion.
Everyone with a talk show is talking about the debate. No other topic has more coverage. Russert's program does not air until the weekend. You mean to tell me, he didn't think the debate was the topic of issue for his program??

He could have had Howard Dean on live and talked about his book. But Dean would have been blasting him with debate facts. That's what Russert chose not to do because Bush was trounced.

18. You are assuming an awful lot. I find it very odd.
Because he chose the topic for his show. Could you please prove to me it was 1. taped and 2. taped after the debate.

Then could you please explain why in the world you are thinking of it that way? Russert can do what he likes with his show.

19. It just strikes me that way
because Dean would have made a much greater point of it. And sure as hell he would have talked about the debate when asked the question--do you still think he can win?

Dean would have said, are you joking? Did you watch the debate?

That's when I knew it had to have been a pre-taped program. I could be wrong but I would be astounded if Dean didn't talk and talk about what everybody in the country is.

And yes he can do whatever he wants with his show. He can also join Fox News.

17. It was just a quick statement by Russert.
They had been discussing electability and nuance in a nice way....it was all nice...and Russert was more than fair.

When he asked Dean that, it was casually done...so much so that I missed it the first time. Dean said Oh, absolutely he can win, or close to that. Two sentences in an interview that was fair and balanced.
