New media whore/repub talking point: The Global Test
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 10:30 AM by dennis4868
The repubs are of course not telling the truth as to what John Kerry said during the debate about the Global Test when you take preemptive strike against a country. If you read the transcripy Kerry said the Global Test is twofold:

1. Before taking action make sure the people of the USA understand why you are attacking a country that did not attack you; and

2. AFTER you attack, make sure other countries understand that the attack was done for legitimate reasons.

But the repubs (and the media of course lets them get away with it) are now saying that before Kerry would attack another country to protect our national security he would make sure it was okay with the UN.

Kerry needs to explain this to the american people who are being fooled once again by Bush and Rove (and the media). He cannot let this go on like the other times in the past he let a repub talking point dominate the news cycles. Yes, he put out a commercial saying Bush is lying and that Bush lost the debate. But that is not enough. Kerry should not have to explain himself. But the "liberal" media does not do their job and give the peole the truth anymore unless to trash Dan Rather and/or Bill Clinton.

1. Kerry will, I'm sure, have more to say about this
It's a complicated world and and a complex thought. I don't expect bushsucks* of his supporters to understand it. However, many of the undecideds are not stupid.

7. Lookee hyeah, y'all
The FACT that your *predator military "pre-emptively attacked" a country whose neighbors insisted was no real threat is the very reason your asses will again be be burned and hung out to dry in deepest, darkest Iraqnam, whether or not YOU get a clue. Kerry don't need to explain SHIT. That YOU COLLECTIVELY cannot see this clusterfuck for what it is, or simply don't fucking care, IS the problem.

The AmeriKKKan gub'mint has steam-rollered 3 nations during the *dauphin's reign. COUNTLESS sentient beings have LOST THEIR "right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" as a result. The ROTW sees it all quite clearly while you occupy yourselves with Kobe, Laci and Janet. The question is WHO'S NEXT?

Forgive me, fellow DUers, for my rant... After watching your *dimwit make an TOTAL ass of himself YET AGAIN (having already done so EACH AND EVERY TIME he's touched down on these shores- the *idjit even frikken TRAUMATIZED the QUEEN'S FLAMINGOS and did MILLIONS in damage to her garden) and reading how some of you are as yet "undecided," at times I'm ready to throw up my hands and disavow any knowledge of or connexion to the country of my birth! :argh: :argh: :argh:

Forgive my outburst of frustration. Your MEDIA is PUBLIC ENEMY #1.

8. This is THE response to the "Global Test" crap:
http://www.markarkleiman.com/archives/election_2004_/2004/10/hell_be_going_to_the_un_next.php

October 01, 2004

He'll be going to the UN next

As already noted here, it turns out to be false that negotiating separately with North Korea would displease the Chinese government, as President Bush twice stated last night.

But put that aside. There's a more fundamental problem.

A reader writes:

I believe I heard Bush assure China a veto over our security vis-a-vis North Korea (can't talk to them if China doesn't want us to...we need China...etc). I thought he wasn't going to give foreigners this power?

Good point.

Of course, Mr. Bush might respond that there are some things that can only be done with the help of other nations, and in those cases the opinions of the leaders of those nations, and even of their citizens, need to be reckoned with if we are to accomplish our goals in the world.

But that's precisely the "global test" Mr. Bush's supporters are lambasting Mr. Kerry for considering.
