1. Beautiful
Just as Dean supporters are now on board with Kerry, we who didn't support Dean now see what Deaniacs saw.

19. Totally. It delights me to hear this. And mind you, I'm ALL FOR Kerry.
He absolutely is my standard-bearer and I've willingly redirected my efforts, my energy, and most of my contributions, to Kerry.

BUT, I remain a Dedicated Dean Dame. Dean is my Ninja Warrior Angel. When we have to go to battle, I see Kerry as my CIC, but Dean as my General and myself in Dean's division. Dean does and says and fights exactly the way I want my fighters to act. It is TRULY lovely and gratifying to know that John Kerry has people like Howard Dean as reinforcements. He makes a DREAM surrogate, because he can hit harder below the belt than Kerry may feel he's able to in his position in certain circumstances. He says the things that need to be said, that generate the heat but keep it off Kerry directly. He's Great. He's BEYOND Great.

And I remember how some here were questioning whether Dean was generous enough to throw his support behind Kerry if Dean failed to win the nomination. There were some people who, in effect, suspected he'd do a "sore loserman" thing. I remember those arguments on this board. People gave him a lot of flack. Turns out he DIDN'T. He made me proud. He still makes me proud. And now, it delights me to see how his behavior since then has done what we who love him expected he'd do: he's won everyone over.

Sure glad he's on OUR side!!!

10. We have to counter-attack, too, though...take this as our own.
Bush is now saying that we don't have to have proof of a threat from any country for us to invade them. That's ripe for the picking, right there. That's RECKLESS, and we could very well use that word.

18. We SHOULD very well use that word. Because "reckless" is spot on.
That's EXACTLY what bush is, and has been, from the get-go.

Because he's NEVER had to face any consequences for his actions. NEVER had to clean up his own mess. NEVER had to live with the results of what he's done. NEVER had to pull his own weight and face his own mistakes. Probably doesn't even know how to recognize them, at this late date - no training for that, EVER EVER EVER in his entire life.

This is a guy who was ALWAYS handed everything on a silver plate. He was ALWAYS taught, and shown, that "the help" would "take care of it," whatever that "it" happened to be. He was always shown that if he got into trouble, Daddy would always step in and bail him out, either personally, or by picking up the phone and pulling some string with some fancy friend.

So he's learned that "reckless" means nothing. Doesn't matter. Doesn't make any difference. He can just go ahead and do anything, and screw up anything, and dance off on his merry way to the next calamity-in-waiting, and it doesn't matter. He can do whatever he wants, good or bad, and there won't be any hell to pay - at least for him. It'll always just get "fixed" by some friendly Mr. Big. So he has nothing to worry about, every. He doesn't have to worry about consequences, results, actions, reactions, anything. It'll always just "get taken care of" by one of his "fixers." He has NO experience, NO template, NO practice, NO track record, NO nothing as far as actually facing, and dealing with, anything he's done or caused. HORRENDOUSLY negligent training and upbringing. That's left him completely up a creek now.

He's Calamity George. And YES he's reckless. And we oughta hang that on him like we're pinning the tail on the donkey without wearing any blinders.

8. And thanks, Howard, for validating what I heard as the "Global Test".
I understood it when I heard it. Why can't the Republicans?

They need to start thinking and listening American; not Bushie.

13. YES. That's MY Howard. He is our Guardian Angel. Our Ninja Warrior.
He should be our next DNC chair. Let's get a bulldog in there for a change. Besides, if it's fundraising power you need in that position (as everyone says about Terry) Dean has already proven that he's got the chops for THAT, too.

He's ABSOLUTELY, hands down, the best campaign mouth out there today. He says what needs to be said. He says it STRAIGHT AWAY, and doesn't wait around for it to be old news. He has the rapid-response instinct down perfectly. And he's NOT AFRAID of these assholes.

THIS is what we need. THIS is what we need NOW. THIS is what we've needed ALL ALONG. THIS is what we need FOR THE ROAD AHEAD. THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF IT.

Howard is My Hero.

I LIKE Kerry. Support him til the death.

But it's Howard I LOVE.

My heart STILL belongs to Hollerin' Howard.

Glad he's on OUR side!

16. Had Wolf even heard of the major NYT story today --
that book-length revelatory piece, "Skewed Intelligence Data in March to War in Iraq," featured on our home-page? Dr. Dean kept referring to it, assuming that Wolf would know what he was talking about, but I think Wolf drew a blank. About as prepared as W for the debate, I'd say --
