Kerry ad-Stem Cell research and making decisions based on facts & science
I would love to see an ad about supporting stem cell research which could find cures or help for diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's etc.

Most people support more research and many, many people have family members (or themselves) have these diseases.

We know there are voters who will vote on a single issue if it effects them directly, i.e. they will never vote for someone who will raise their taxes - my Dad is someone like this.

I think this is a single issue which will get Kerry votes from people who would otherwise not vote for him.

The science line he used in his speeches was always a big applause line. People realize this administration makes decisions based on politics and pandering to religious fundamentalists. It is a weakness of theirs and we should exploit it.

Are they going to start emphasizing this now? Are they avoiding it for some reason? Any ideas?

1. I think it's because the line between those who support it or are against
it has already been drawn. An ad such as this wouldn't bring any fence sitters over. Someone that has someone in the family who could benefit from such research but is voting for Bush because of their religious beliefs is already lost as it is which is sad indeed.

4. I don't know that it is in the front of a lot of people's minds right now.
An ad on the networks for the non-political junkie people might grab people who otherwise don't care about politics that much.

I would just hope they are registered to vote or else it won't matter.

3. I agree. I'm hoping this issue will come up in the townhall meeting. :)
