Republicans: Dubya can win if we can just avoid the facts
Delightful.

This from the :
Republicans said Bush must avoid debating 1 Kerry on the details of micromanaging 2 foreign policy and return to statements of principle 3 with which most voters agree, from the threat of Saddam Hussein to the need to stay in Iraq. And, said one GOP strategist, Bush needs to keep reminding 4 voters about Sept. 11, 2001, and the impact of the terrorist attacks on the country.

Allow me to translate:
1. avoid debating = "avoid looking straight into the eyes of"
2. micromanaging = "understanding"
3. statements of principle = "mindless and misleading talking point"
4. reminding = "scaring"

"Facts? Oh, you can prove anything with facts."

1. Of course the details are where its really at. How much is it going to
cost? How many lives do you estimate its going to take? Who's going to be there with us? What effect are our actions going to have on americans working and living abroad? How long and how much can we count on our allies? Whats your plan if progress is not coming quickly enough? With so many resources tie up in this one country what do we have left do deal with other issues in other regions that might arise? What are you going to not be able to do before another administration takes over in this country?

Just a few details I would like an answer to.

3. But Kerry agrees with Bush on all of those
1. Kerry agreed about the threat of Sadaam Hussein. He did not agree with invading iraq when we did and how we did. That's the point!

2. Kerry doesn't advocate cutting and running. So he agrees with Bush about that. Kerry disagrees with Bush on everything else though, and believes that Bush's performance to date makes him disqualified to continue for four more years handling the Iraq matter. Kerry doesn't advocate cutting and running. He just thinks Bush is an incompetent liar with no credibility, who should be replaced as soon as possible.

3. Kerry and ALL AMERICANS for that matter are well aware of 911. That's why we want Bush removed from office though. Kerry and many americans do not feel that Bush is up to the job of keeping us safe from terrorism. We have no problem being reminded about 911 over and over again. But when we are reminded of it, that's when we wish John Kerry was the president. America needs a tough, smart leader in these trying times after 911. Thinking and being reminded of 911 makes us want John Kerry for President.

5. Bush has a big problem now,
which I hope Kerry takes full advantage of. When Bush says he is a strong leader, Kerry must say and show that even if Bush is what he says he is, SO IS JOHN KERRY. But the good news is that John Kerry is not a bumbling, inocompetent who holds people who do not possess power in comtempt, like Bush does.

When George Bush says he is a sincere, genuine, man, Kerry must say and show that even if Bush is what he says he is, SO IS JOHN KERRY. But the good news is that John Kerry will listen to his military advisors, will listen to the people who possess less power than he, rather than hold them in contempt for questioning the power. John Kerry gathers strength from taking hard questions about his actions, while Bush falls apart and gets angry.

John Kerry does not have an inferiority complex. Thus John Kerry does not have an itchy trigger finger. John Kerry will not make matters worse. John Kerry will not say to the powerless, you got your 150 tax cut, now shut up! John Kerry will work to give the weak more power. And when he's done, the country will be more united and much stronger for it.
