The "Pen" Dust Up Makes Drudge and Rightwing Blogs Look Desperate
And lame. The average person will think it's pathetic that they're even attempting to whine about something like this.

I hope they keep it up. They're doing Bush real damage with this kind of stuff. Bush continues to slide in the polls with each one of these desperate tactics.

3. The video of Kerry taking a pen out of his pocket
Is now claimed to be his super-secret (but clearly telegraphed to the cameras, of course) removal of the ultimate cheat sheet he had secreted in his suit.

10. Impressive!
I got "The Unutterable" on right now.

Mark E broke his hip on their (or his) most recent US tour behind "Real New Fall Album Formerly Country on the Click". Did a number of shows in a wheelchair, then bailed out somewhere in TX and went back to England.

Haven't heard any news since. Have you?

I have heard he hadn't been at his best on this tour, and this was before the hip thing.

23. Apparently all is well...
...because they have a new album coming on out 11/1 called "Interim" according to Fall.net.

The 2nd half of the US tour was canceled, but when they got back they must have went back into the studio. And there are dates listed on the site, so perhaps he's a least partially ambulatory.

WHAT DID KERRY SLIP OUT OF HIS POCKET?

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX

DEBATE MYSTERY: WHAT DID KERRY SLIP OUT OF HIS POCKET?

Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage ? What did Kerry place on the podium?

Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.

"John Kerry brought prohibited material into last Thursday's Presidential Debate," charged indcjournal.com.

9. Agree with that. But they can't realize their own smell.
Fear of exposure. The smell of their own flopsweat.
The desperate clinging to a false cult leader.

"Liberty to deceive in the defense of extremism is no vice"-- turning the famous Goldwater quote on its head...

Bush takes a pen out of his pocket also. Funny there are no leftwing websites crowing that Bush cheated.

Could it be because the rightwingers are very bad losers? :)

32. Good grief, indeed. I had no idea that the disruptor pen post,
so humourous, was based on the freepers saying he pulled an 'illegal' pen out of his pocket!! Jeez Louise! What next? We really should send every freeper a free tinfoil hat. This is beyond ridiculous.

18. What is so hilarious about this
is Kerry wasn't hiding anything, he casually took his pen out for everyone to see. He knew there were cameras there. There was nothing sneaky about it.
They are so off their rocker now after seeing the Pro-Kerry polls.

In the name of Unified Conspiracy Theory, may i point out the obvious.

The disruptor pen disrupted the signal to Bush's earpiece.
That is why Bush was not his usual BRILLIANT self.
Illegal interference.
