1) He was tired
2) He was shocked from seeing the hurricane victims
3) Rove sold him out
4) Kerry used a pen
5) Kerry used notes
6) Bush was wearing a bulletproof vest
7) Kerry had the questions beforehand

Any I missed?

1.The moderator was biased

18. O'Reality vs. O'Really: Bush was over planned, but UNDER prepared.
Over planned in the sense that they thought all their little talking points (Mixed messages" would be all the media rage.

UNDER prepared in that they failed to prepare for the fact that Kerry did SO damned well, it over shadowed everything else.

As Joe Lockhardt said- Bush thought he would be debating his own TV commercial characiture of Kerry-and I call that underprepared!!!

when he squeezed the hell out *'s hand when they first met onstage. Bush kept slouching and making painful faces because behind the podium he had to massage his right hand with his left one for 90 minutes.
