In the Edwards/cheney debate
I see where crashcart wants them both to be seated. I believe that Edwards should stand at a podium and let old sick dick sit if he wants.
It would certainly contrast the two, a strong healthy Edwards and a sick old decrepit vp.

4. The vp candidates were
seated for the last debate (2000) because Cheney's doctors have advised him against standing up for 90 minutes. It was the only time in the history of presidential debates (which includes the vp debates) that this has occured. Joe L. had done everything he could to make Cheney comfortable, including behaving in a subordinate manner during the debate.

The democrats had considered holding the line this year. Even Chris Matthews had made numerous references to the situation in the past few months. The republicans had decided that Cheney would not debate if Edwards would not agree to a "package" of demands. Edwards is confident enough that he'll shame Cheney intellectually (and morally) that he did not feel the need demand that they do something that doctors have - for good reason - advised Cheney not to do.

2. a good way to do this would be to have those chairs in townhalls
so if a candidate wants to get up when answering the question they can. but they can also remain seated. kind of like those seats they have at town hall meetings, except this wont be a town hall. but it will still allow for a candidate to get up if they wanted.

5. I can't wait!
For JE to ask that dipshit if he didn't get the memo about "NO IRAQ OSAMMA CONNECTION!" Let's see how Snarly answers that in Public.

6. Sitting worse for cheney...he looks like over stuffed potato...
and camera adds another ten pounds. It doesn't matter for Edwards. He can sit and smile that Hollywood smile. Cheney loves looking down at himself. Edwards will sit comfortable and connect with the audience.
