EXCUSES, EXCUSES!
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 05:18 PM by Stephanie

Bush has almost as many excuses for why he lost the debate as he does for why he went into Iraq. Let's see, so far:

  • He was tired from comforting hurricane victims

  • The podium was too high

  • Kerry took something out of his pocket

  • He's not used to being in a room with non-sycophants

  • Bullet proof vest made him slouch

  • His own two minute rule did him in (two minutes was too long)

What else?

I'm suprised he didn't say God was on vacation and wasn't talking to him. He is a child and blames everything on anything other than his self.

12. That's interesting, considering Bush had nothing nice to say about
Teresa.

Bush complimented Kerry's daughters but said nothing about Teresa!

Kerry said a very gracious compliment about Bush's daughters AND about Laura Bush.

So who's the disrespectful one?

10. Oh - forgot this one. Kerry actually rehearsed at a podium
While Bush just "bounced ideas around with his staff." That's from the Sunday talking heads. This is their excuse for why he looked like a pissy school boy every time Kerry spoke.

11. How embarrassing to have a Leader (theirs)
that always has to be propped up by excuses for poor leadership and lack of intelligence. Aren't the bushbots getting tired of having to cook up excuses for their Moron yet?

13. What great excuses.
He was tired from comforting hurricane victims

Aww, the President needs a vacation.

The podium was too high

Hey, it's in the rules the Bush campaign agreed to.

Kerry took something out of his pocket

That's not proven. If that's the best you've got, thanks for playing.

He's not used to being in a room with non-sycophants

That's his own fault. Quit handing out loyalty oaths, and maybe you'll get used to being questioned.

Bullet proof vest made him slouch

What's been his excuse for the last fifty-eight years?

His own two minute rule did him in (two minutes was too long)

If this man who constantly touts his ability to make strong decisions in the War on Terror and the war in Iraq can't talk for two minutes about his decisions, then perhaps it's time for somebody who can. And if two minutes was two much, why did he keep asking for extra time to talk?

17. Even if Bush were on Texas time
which obviously, as you pointed out, he isn't, that would mean his day started later. He should have been less tired than Kerry.

(Never try to fool a woman about time zones when she lives in NYS and her bosses are in Arizona and Japan! ^_^)

22. Wasn't
the debate in Florida? Isn't Texas and Florida on the same time? Oh forgot, sometimes he lives at 1600 Penn. Ave, WDC.

We all should feel sad for George , because in Fla. he picked up all the water bottles and put them in cars, probably help pick up debris from people's yards, made sure they had government assistance and helped build new buildings. Then he had to study for the debates. Taking care of people is difficult huh George., makes one tired, doesn't it?

16. Actually, it was only 90 seconds . . .
It was only two minutes when Lehrer allowed the one-minute followup, which gave an additional 30 seconds to each candidate.

And still it was too long. . . .

18. Listen to the....
.... plain old whining from the party that is always calling Democrats whiners.

Hey chumps, you nominated a moron. He got selected by the Supreme Court. The media has protected him, scrubbed his gaffes, his handlers have made sure he never had to endure a real press conference or any tough questions.

And now that he doesn't have all his crutches and has to face the world like a man, he's not up to the task.

Blame Yourselves
