NADER CAMPAIGNING IN SWING STATES!!!
What the fuck is wrong with him?

<snip>

With polls showing a narrowing gap between President Bush (news - web sites) and Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites), independent candidate Ralph Nader (news - web sites) said Sunday that he planned to continue campaigning in key battleground states in the final month of the presidential election.

4. He is an egomaniac who cares nothing for this country. He may
become the spoiler again. I don't know how he can live with himself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be president, but when he knows he has no chance to win and can cause turmoil in this country he becomes a traitor.

6. He fancies himself
The Henry Clay of today. And quite probably hopes he goes down in history as such.

imo he is a *-enabler as guilty of the atrocities that * has committed, and if he gets him elected. He shares equal guilt if not more.

32. Absolutely. He's just as guilty as Bush/Cheney for the tens of
thousands dead in Iraq. No Nader, no Iraq war. And he'll deny it to the end.

No words to describe the miscreant.

9. I really cannot imagine
why Nader decides to campaign in swing states. If he was campaigning in MA or TX, states that are not going to change any time soon, it would be one thing. He seems like he really wants to tip the election to *. It's quite frankly unconscionable.

10. Isn't it obvious?
He thinks that by campaigning in swing states he'll force Kerry to adopt more of his positions, or else risk losing crucial votes.

11. I think you're right on
He's trying to swing the election to Bush, thus bringing about the apocalypse, shifting the electorate more to the left, giving people like him a chance. He says it's not about him, but he's being nothing but self-serving.

Welcome to DU, BTW :hi:

16. He isn't on the ballot here in TX
so there wouldn't be much point of him campaigning here! I think he's only on the ballot in 35 or 36 states.

21. I s'pose you're right
I used to respect Ralph. I lost a lot of respect for him when he entered this race. I lost the rest when he started taking money from ':puke:s. However, if he pulls out and throws his support to K/E at the last minute, all will be forgiven, but I don't hold out much hope. He's too egostical.

22. I voted for Nader in 2000...
but would not touch him with a 100 foot poll now...i think what he's doing is terrible and he should just let it go.

he's not helping anyone but himself and could potentially harm MANY people.

i hear some people talk about how if he doesn't drop out that his legacy will be gone...well it's gone already!

he's dead to me.

28. He cost us the election in 2000
so what has happened since then is partly his fault. He stayed quiet while * raped the country, did not participate visibly in the anti-war movement, the environmental movement, or even the consumer or labor movement for the past four years. And voters are supposed to trust him? Based on what, exactly? The guy is evil.

29. My theory is that Nader is an ego-maniac
He's a great American. He did a lot of great things in his career. But at this stage in his life he seems to be striving for relevance in a world that has passed him by. If it weren't for this half baked presidential run he'd be totally irrelevant.

PS. My theory is that he started to wrong when he decided Microsoft as the evil empire. MSFT made some mistakes but they aren't evil incarnate.

31. Are you so sure about that?
no, just kidding. Microsoft isn't evil incarnate, their just a corporation who, like most corporations, don't care about who's in power just so long as they make a profit which they are LEGALLY bound to do. I'm just happy that Steve Jobs has made it clear he's firmly on our side.

Welcome to DU, masonfl!

30. Nader lives for the power to control the elections...
He knows damn well he will not win, but him running
causes democrats to lose precious votes and throw the
election to repugs as happened in Florida 2000. The
humongous ego Nader has can be satisfied by him able to
decide who wins. He needs to see s psychiatrist pronto.

33. Was there ever any doubt?
The next time someone pines about "well he's done some really progressive stuff once upon a time", recall that Benedict Arnold co-led the storming of Ticonderoga, stopped the British with a bathtub navy, heroically led the march to Quebec, and got himself shot up leading the Americans to victory on the Saratoga battlefield.

At least Arnold had the excuse that his wife wanted him to do it.

34. Darth Nader Is A "Zellout"
"Zellout" is a made-up word I heard recently, ossibly even here on DU...about one who used to be for good, and now is nothing but a tool for the 'Pukes.

The term, obviously, is a play on Zell Miller. And it is something that also perfectly describes Darth Nader...

That bastard is running in SWING STATES...something he fucking SAID HE WOULDN'T DO...when he first announced candidacy...the fucker lied again!! What is with this moron, does he want to tear down all the good work he did over his career...watch it all burn away like it never was??

That is what four more years of Bush will do for the causes he says he believes in, and spent his career as a public advocate fighting for!! Those environmental policies will be utterly gutted by Bush if he is given another four years! The power of profits over people will become EPIDEMIC if bush is given another four years!!

What the FUCK is wrong with this guy?? He's burning down an outstanding career as a public advocate, as if it never happened at all! All his good works will be like a burning grassfield in a high wind, if Bush is given four more years!

I finally can say that I honestly do not have a CLUE as to WTF Ralphie-boy is trying to do!! Is he TRYING to burn down forty years of good works??

:wtf:
