A picture of Bush reading notes in the debate..SHARE it with everybody!
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 06:49 PM by Lovecrafty

Notice that that is an entire page of carefully written notes in pen. Now watch the entire debate splitscreen up until this photo was taken and you will NEVER see Bush writing to the extent required to fill this page! He also is using a SHARPIE..which would make the ink on those pages very black and obvious!! Link this photo and pass it around!

2. Didn't John Kerry win the last debate?
So many people here seem to be acting as if he lost and now we're trying to blame it on some dirty trick from Bush.

4. Not me! I KNOW Kerry won hands down...but visit the Drudge Report!
Apparently Republicans are attempting to say Kerry somehow "cheated" and was using notes. This photo only shows that it was, in fact, BUSH who was reading carefully prepared notes! Kerry was MAKING notes...Bush was simply reading them!

5. No, it's because Bush/Rove said if rules were broken
then there would be no more debates, and one of the first things they came up with was that Kerry had notes. See if tomorrow they start this "broke the rules" crap and try to get out of further debates.

I couldn't figure what this nonsense was about until your post! Unless they have something more than the photo-shopped images they will truly look the fools for dropping out after the disastrous first debate. The liberal media may play along, but even the Stepford Public may not buy that chimp lost the first debate because Kerry had a pen with him.

Will the mainstream pick this up?

10. Ok, I gotta ask, cat's WHAT for Kerry
"cat's" is a possessive - meaning a cat's "something"

Or, you could just lose the apostrophe. Then it would be cats (plural) for Kerry.

Sorry... been looking at this all day and grinding my teeth, trying not to be a grammar nazi, but I finally lost the battle. Yes, I feel bad about it, but what can I do? I think it's genetic or something.

If it's meant to be a contraction of 'cat is for Kerry" it should say "THIS cat's for Kerry!"

11. I thought they changed the rules to allow this

I recall hearing on AirAmerica that the Bush crowd complained because they wanted to have a page of notes available. I think they got the rules changed.

The CON's also have a picture of Kerry supposedly peeking into his pocket at a crib sheet during the debate also.

15. If he had detailed notes....
it did not help him. Same is if he had an
ear piece it did him more harm than good.
This guy has run out of tricks and the public
is catching on to the fact that he is one
dimensional and totally lacking in wisdom.

Unless Rove pulls one he-- of a rabbit out
of the bag they all need to start packing

18. Why did that guy come in at the end of the debate
and quickly snatch up the papers left on Bush's podium? Why did noone do similarly for Kerry? I think the dirt, if any, and I'm doubtful any cheating occurred, would most likely be on the part of the Bush team. That's why they're screaming so loud.

31. Rove always accuses the other side of doing with bushco did
That means that shrimpy-chimpy definitely cheated. That's why Rove is accusing Kerry of having cheated.

Sadly for bushco, shrimpy-chimpy still lost very badly. His cheating didn't help.

27. Bush pics
I don't see the writing on the page nor do I see a sharpie. The picture is pretty unclear.

I'd love to agree with you but I'm not seeing it.

Both had paper and pens with which to take notes and both took notes during the debate.

29. Bush was definitely reading and shuffling papers
I do remember Bush shuffling through a bunch of papers on the lectern. And my husband said at one point during the debate that it looked like Bush was reading a paper with circles and lines on it - can someone with screencap capability check their tape on the debate? I wish I could be more specific as to when he noticed that but I'm pretty sure it was during the second half.

It was an interesting observation since I remember once seeing a picture of Bush at a Cabinet meeting and it showed the paper in front of him with key words/phrases circled and lines pointing to other things.

and on the actual video, not the web vid, you can actually see pretty clearly the detail of the notes, where words are written in pen and some have been circled in sharpie.
