1. Can we split Alabama into two states?
I'm from there. Maybe if we split Alabama just right, into Alabama, and Bam-Bama, then we can have a Democratic state.

2. See the later post about the missing signs
in PA. We always say we live in the Alabama part of PA (with all due respect to those who really live there.)

4. Where are you in PA?
I'm in Berks County, what I affectionately call "the Bible belt" of Pa. We've had ours stolen/vandalized a lot too; we're on Kerry sign #9.

3. Here in Asheville N,C. there were some signs stolen too this past week
Not a huge number were stolen in my area, but a handful were taken and most of them have already been replaced. Four years ago Repubs stole many Dem signs too. There are still about 5 times as many Kerry signs as Bush signs in my neighborhood though!

The last Sheriff's race, the Democratic challenger's signs were stolen in large numbers and then dumped off a steep ravine the day after the election. Said a lot about self-righteous Repubs who claim to be so big on law and order. The Repub Sheriff won relection too.

5. I put mine out today in VA and a young guy pushing a baby stroller
said, "I'm really glad you did that; I wasn't sure how people would react on this street, but I'm going to put mine out now!"

We have a lot of Repugs around this particular neighborhood (lots of retired military and consultants) but we also have plenty of Dems.

6. We've had many stolen or vandalized
And we had to pay for them all ourselves. I'm pissed but I guess it comes with the territory.

One note, though, both sides are losing the same number of signs. We have equal opportunity misdemeanor offenders.

8. Good News that there were so Many Kerry/Edwards Signs In Huntsville, AL
that it made the news. Too bad they were vandalized, but getting it
on the news shows everyone that the Kerry voters are there, even in
the red states.

9. Good point!
Even the news about the thefts should inspire some people in those states to realize they are not alone in preferring K/E.

Every little bit helps. You never know what might push someone over that proverbial line.

10. It's More Than the Signs Could Have Accomplished by Themselves
and it makes the Rethugs look really childish.
