Son and daughter-in-law weren't going to vote (ages 31 and 28). We told them how foolish that is, especially since son has a disease called Friedrich's Ataxia that affects his muscles and is incurable. Stem Cell Research could definitely/hopefully benefit him. Just spoke to him; they're both registered, waiting for their absentee ballots, watched the debate, and thought Shrub* was a joke. I'm SO PSYCHED!!!!!

2. That's absolutely great and you should be psyched. |

And when Kerry is President maybe it will open the floodgates for research and people like your son can believe "hope is on the way".

We went to dinner and there were a group of high schoolers who were out for their Homecoming Dinner. They were all talking of The Daily Show and making fun of Bu*h. I love that high schoolers are engaged, especially when it is cool in high school to make fun of B/C.
Then, on top of that, we go Taco Bell for lunch (yeah, lots of eating out this weekend) and the high schoolers behind the counter have a running gag from SNL last night that everything is "hard work". Getting the pop is hard work. They were all giggling and laughing and it made us laugh too.
Two stories I have been meaning to share. This "hard work" thing could really be Bu*h's political gravestone.

especially when people lament that young-people aren't interested in politics. * may have done more to get young people out there to vote than anything else in the past 4 years.
