MSNBC had a special on past debates and the unknown stories behind the big debate moments.
When Tweety asked Brokaw if he thought the American people zero in on the same things that the pundits and pols do, Brokaw went on a long yakfest on how he thinks the American people take in the whole debate and think about it over a couple a days. Talk about pandering. I'm so sick and tired of pundits saying the American people are smarter than they are given credit for.
I don't mean to be cynical or arrogant, but if the American people were as smart as these pandering chicken shits say they are, then we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.
I wish some newscasters would just get the courage to tell the truth that too many Americans are gullible persuadables willing to eat crap from any governmental/media spoon put in front of their faces.
(Of course DU'ers are not included in this rant)...

1. broke-law is trying to cover his ass for the violent blow back |

that will be coming following the election when the depth of the corporate media's complicity in propagandizing for the war and for the radical wrong wing becomes more and more apparent.
the coportate media whores will be considered only a half step above the traitors in the wrong wing/corporate/information complex who they have been covering for for the last decade or two. When The People finally pull their heads out of their asses and see what has really been going on, there will be massive cultural hell to pay for these people.
tom is trying to provide himself some plausible deniability, but he is far to complicit to get the stench of treason off himself.

I am a steadfast Kerry supporter but if you think the upcoming election is going to deflate the corporate take-over of our country you are in for a huge disappointment. It's too far gone and they are not going to give up any of the ground they have already achieved. We will still be saddled with a corporate media in bed with the likes of Delay and the rest of his Republican Cronies. We will still have Corporations control our Health Care, our finances, our livlihoods.
Kerry is a great first step but the battle for real change and the real bloody battles are yet to come. Quite frankly I'm not so sure we can rely on most our Democratic officials to be of great help.

5. I'm talking about the collective consciousness. |

Once The People pull their heads out of their asses, then the civil war to win back America from the corporatist traitors begins.
Yes it will be bloody, but a few stinking corpses of corporate executives lying in the streets will go a long way to changing things.

3. Brokaw is full of shit. |

The man was shrub's biggest cheerleader during the Iraq war, up until "Mission Accomplished."
In his own way, Brokaw is a traitor because he sold out to the rethugs and helped sell the public on the Iraq war.
