Does anyone else feel Lorne Michaels should apologize to Kerry
SNL used Bush's own words against him. But Kerry had diffused the flip-flop nonsense in the debate and they falsely made their guy act like a flip-flopper, something that never happened.

1. not really
SNL is just a comedy show. But I admit that I preferred the show when it was clearly more liberal than it is now.

SNL is satire, I'd like to see it more liberal, but nobody should apologize.

3. There's no way that Lorne is pro-Bush. I'm sorry but he's not part of the
vast-right wing conspiracy, something that in one form or another DOES exist. But most ENTERTAINMENT media of the SNL sort does lean left because it's so driven by creative, liberal people.

Lorne needs to apologize for not hiring more funny, talented people (hello? David Cross!) but not for using false stereotypes against our guy in an attempt to be "balanced".

4. To me, it proves how little Kerry gave them to work with
He didn't make any mistakes in the debate, so they had to make up shit for their parody. I didn't like it - wasn't based on fact so it wasn't funny - and I turned off the show soon after. But one thing's for sure: that lameass bit's not gonna influence anyone the way the 2000 skit might have.

5. When we stop laughing at our political leaders....
...The republicans will have won.

I don't expect comedy shows to return to burlesque after JFKerry wins in Nov.
I'll still want political satire.
