Could be wishful thinking, but with all the new registrations... And, www.electoral-vote.com is saying a Dem majority in the Senate is now possible.

3. That will be a great day
They can go back to trying to get Reagan's picture on money and get the hell out of government.

They can crawl back under the rocks at PNAC, the Heritage Foundation, the American Enterprise Institute and FreeRepublic.com and start over as larvae.

They breed, so in 17 years we'll have to fight them off again.

Pod people. All of them.

6. Even if they keep both, he will be an absolute pariah.
This is one of the sweetest things about the whole mess: he'll be treated like the embarassing relative.

The phone will never ring. The deals will never come. He'll just be sitting there in the corner wearing that big 'ol Napoleon hat, sucking on that liter of Beam and sticking pins in the crotch of his Clinton doll raving something about how hard it all is. May he live to be a hundred and ten.

If the House falls, the effect will be devastating, and the criminal prosecutions will reveal these blutocrats for what they are. (Yes, that's a riff on Popeye's nemesis, not a dang typo...)

12. they will gripe about the large deficit, create scandals
through mailouts like they did when Clinton was President, and generally behave poorly as usual. That's why I think it is necessary to fully investigate the Bush Regime's actions concerning awards of preferential contracts to firms friendly to Cheney, efforts to undermine democracy through fraudulent voting schemes in 2000 and 2004, and all sorts of unprecedented behavior by the Dept of Justice to conceal Dubya's records as governor of TX.

13. the only thing holding republicans together
right now is bush

the REAL republicans don't necessarily like him because he is not a true republican...but they stomach him because he gets the pukes into office

the Christo-Facists like him and give the pukes the edge they need to win in elections....rove could not work his black magic without the Hard right wing....

If bush loses (when bush loses - sorry) you will see that the republicans will have to take a long look at their party and you may see a split into two groups: Real conservative type republicans and the far right christians in another camp....

if the hard christian republicans don't get bush into office to make their holy grail changes (namely change the SCOTUS/abolish RvW) this time...they will not have another chance for a while...a long while

i see the republicans reclaiming the conservative nature of the party (with some conservative/centrist like McCain in the lead)....and the Chrsitians out looking to form a new party....

i think we are on the verge of a sea change in american politics...just my point of view

16. Bloodbath a coming?
As the religious right and the corrupt and the other goons try for a comeback, the centrist GOP will make real efforts(women, rational, non corrupt pols) to get back the power maybe through deals(later to be betrayed) and field more moderate candidates. Yet so bitter and so openly antagonistic would be the cast off losers that the party would likely be hamstrung and shrinking into a vortex black hole of conflicted and canceling ideologies.

Leave it to Dems not to encourage this and let the RW come back though, especially if the media unfairness is left wholly intact.

The neocons should be the universally destroyed scapegoats, but these rats are adept at making others the victims so it will be interesting. Better they were put in jail as they merit.
