This is NOT real. This is intended to mess with our minds and our heart rates. This is psychological warfare, with the goal being to emotionally exhaust conservatives to the point that we don't vote. We are supposed to realize the futility of our feeble attempts to thwart the Kerry juggernaut, bow our heads like good little RINOs and make way for our intellectual superiors. When they start telling me that Bush is up by 30 points, THAT's when I'll start to worry. Dan Rather is a liar. Do you REALLY think he's the only one?

Could President Bush have avoided a trap?

Posted on 10/03/2004 10:00:04 PM PDT by Bellflower

My sister came up with this scenario. Could Bush have avoided a trap? What if Kerry pulled out a picture of a dead soldier and did it so Bush would see him pulling out a paper hoping to entrap him into accusing him of cheating. He would have then said emotionally (maybe with a tear) "Oh no I'm not cheating. This is a picture of ______ who was killed in Iraq. I just have it to remind me why I am here and how important it is for me to win for this election for him". It would have made Bush look like a mean fool and him like a caring hero. It could be that when President Bush saw him pull something out of his coat that looked like paper that he was really peeved and it set him off balance. He had to decide whether to call him on it or not. Yes, it could have been a trap and by being discreet he avoided falling into it.

Something like this could have been planned. Does anybody else remember reading that the Democrats had planned on a knockout blow for the President? It seems like someone had a post to this effect. If so their planned knockout punch never materialized.

5. My, my...................
that's getting a little too paranoid, even for them. They honestly think that GW could think on his feet fast enough to weigh a decision like that? There are a few tinfoil hatters :tinfoilhat: around here as well, but THIS GUY takes the cake.

12. Yep - it's my biggest challenge as a teacher - parents don't value
education. I had an acquaintance make a really derrogatory remark to me the other day (a coworker no less) about how I was a "professional student," followed by a really sarcastic remark about me sitting around sipping wine playing Trivia Pursuit. Hello?? I am a teacher! We're supposed to continue our education once we are in the profession. It was unbelievable. So I am working on my third degree - get the hell over it!

13. Now, now.
We are not, nor were we ever intellectual elites. The problem is that the freepers have an inferiority complex.

4. To all Freeper Visitors...
Bob Dylan said it best:

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

IOW, it's time for Americans- real Americans, not flag-waving dittohead servants of Halliburton- to take over.

The coup d'etat of 2000 is being countered.

Deal with it.

And DU-ers, remember, anything can happen still. It's October, and I'm sure there's surprises all around. So keep on with the support, money, etc. for presumptive President-elect Kerry.

We are just waiting for them. And when I say "we", I mean me and a couple of friends of mine.
Yes, I just made a of a new friend, he arrived from the Auto-Ordinance Company, A Mr.Thompson.

That poster is so awesome!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't understand. What puzzle?
The Grand Conspiracy, of course. There are no principaled conservatives, only networkds of people with money and people who are bought off. Liberals naturally associate because of altruism, love and some occasional High Brow Conversation. This is how things are.

The puzzle they're referring to is how Jim Robinson fits into the network. Who's paying him off, what he's getting out of all this. Since he's clearly not an entry level Neanderthal like the rest of us, he must be either a cunning manipulator or on the dole.

If only they can find the link, then they can expose and discredit Jim as the pawn of Big Texas Money that he really is. At which point, he's required by regulation to say, 'And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids and your dumb dog!'*
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are crazy bastards...if they wanted to know about Jim Robinson's personal history, all they had to do was ask Jim nicely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I'm 24, I use comcast cause dsl is too damn slow. I have a few guns. I even have an EVIL assault rifle (well not anymore the AWB is done, and since its not full auto, its not an assault rifle by dictionary standards). I love god. I use windows xp pro sp2. I think everyone should have a chance at life, but not everyone deserves to remain here among the living. I am a college student. I am a Texan. And I think that none of this matters cause Kerry is the king fool and all the folks at DU are his peasants. The difference between a citizen and a peasant? A citizen is armed and has a part in his/her government's decisions. A peasant lives with the kings decree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL. Let them continue digging and connecting the dots. Sooner or later, assuming they're smart enough, they're bound to discover that all right-wingers are within two degrees of Karl Rove. Karl's the man! Last term it was Richard Scaiff. And the one before that it was Archie Bunker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All I know is that they have a much stricter registration policy over there in du land...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week I got a call from George Bush himself!! It was a pre-recorded message disguised as a GOTV drive. Using my FR decoder ring I was able to unscramble the message:
Initiate Operation DUmpster...All members of the Pajama Patrol be on the look out for DUmpster DUmmies. Roundup will commence September 30th. Set beebers to stune. Internment camps at the ready.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trying to rule by fear and intimidation is SOP for this bunch.
Let them come, the woods where I live are dark and deep....and they may take that anyway they like!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
MWuh-hah-hah-hah-hah-haaa..
I like the sound of that.
Deep dark forest, lots of stuff to hunt, yes that sounds remarkably fun!

They honestly think they're going to intimidate Freepers?
*snort*
They obviously don't know FReeper WOMEN very well.
I'm willing to bet that FReeper women could whip the entire bunch by themselves!
Would hate to spoil their fantasies, but FReeper women don't intimidate too easily.
If they can't budge one of 'you gals'.. what can they hope to accomplish?

14. The Best May Yet Be To Come
I'm not displeased to see so many FReeperstani panties tying themselves in knots, but I hope we can start the howls of anguish on Election Day and set off the wails of lamentation after the Electoral College reaffirms John F. Kerry's electoral victory.

In the meantime, a lot of us (myself included) have some work to do.
