Giuliani on TDS: "Pillars of terrorism"

Did anyone else cringe when Rudy Giuliani referred to the "pillars of terrorism" on Thursday night's post-debate 'The Daily Show'? (think "5 pillars of Islam")

Ouch.

With Bush's "crusade", he and Rudy are truly birds of a feather. (which need to be plucked)

When Stewart mentioned that perhaps sadaam wasn't disarming because he had no wmd's to disarm (which we know to be true), Gulianni actually said that "Sadaam is the weapon of mass destruction."

And he said it with a straight face....... I nearly spit milk thru my nose......

Giuliani counter to the "no WMDs" comment was "he, himself, was a weapon of mass destruction."

To which Stewart aptly replied, "Senator Kerry?!?"

Giuliani didn't even crack a smile. He just motored on trying to spew right-wing spin to coverup Bush's disastrous debate performance.

Contrast Giuliani's humorless spinsane appearance with that of Wes Clark, just a few minutes earlier. Honest, humorous and sharp.

6. That excuse makes me livid

Give me a break! If the Administration really believed that "Saddam as a WMD" was a sufficient justification for war, why didn't they spout that nonsense BEFORE we concluded there were no WMD? Could it be because it doesn't pass the smell test?

Do you really think the American people would have supported such a war in the initial stages if they had known that the real WMD that Bush was talking about was not a "mushroom cloud" (to paraphrase Condi), but rather a weak, fat, moustachioed dictator who couldn't even exercise control over half of the territory of Iraq?

but I noticed the other night on TDS that he has a speech impediment. Why didn't I hear it before?

LOL, maybe it was the contrast of him following the handsome, articulate general.
