Two way race: Bush 46 Kerry 45.

Three wasy, it's Bush by 3%. Nader hurts Kerry a little. But he ain't on the ballot many places, so I ain't sweating it. I guarantee Nader doesn't get more than 1.3%.

In any event, more grist towards ending the "Big Bush Lead" meme.

1. Nader is on the ballot in 34 states and still fighting
in another 7. We might as well admit that he's gonna be a potential spoiler yet again. I hate Ralph Nader more than I can express. He has totally wiped out his lifetime of good work in the last four years.

4. No sweat
Maybe I'm naive, but I truly believe that when Election Day arrives and voters are faced with the simple reality that voting for Nader can only help ensure another four disastrous years of Shrub, they'll vote for Kerry. I really don't think Nader is going to cost us a state this time.

6. Gain for Nader, my theory
My theory is that being for Nader is an alternative to being undecided as a way station on the journey from Bush to Kerry.

The individual shrub supporter watches Thursday night's debate.

Result: shock. His boy was in over his head. Kerry was kool. But he can't make the switch right away. He is in a state of bewilderment.

So, he gets a call asking who he supports and he blurts out Nader.

3. When Bush is ahead, the "liberal media" makes sure that
the story leads with "Bush ahead, Kerry 'close'".

Of course, when Kerry's ahead by 1 or 2 points, you get "They're statistically tied." Hmm. No bias here.

5. Nader is on the ballot where it counts
Anyone who isn't sweating Nader is kidding themselves. The GOP releases that Nader only has to siphon away anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand votes in a battleground state to tip the election to Bush. That's why they worked so hard to get him on the ballot in the first place.

Nader will surely go down in history as one of the all-time greatest traitors to the liberal movement.

11. What I really love in this poll...
<<The post convention bounce for Bush is over and his biggest hurdle is among undecided voters who give him a 31 percent positive job performance rating and a 69 percent negative rating. Only 13 percent of undecided voters feel that the president deserves re-election (his lowest yet) while 37 percent feel it is time for someone new.

Undecideds at 8 percent are high because we don’t push them until later. Five points of these are hard undecideds, two-points use to be with Kerry, and one point with Bush. How will they break in the end? Will they even vote?>>

:D
