Funny things freepers say
Just a random collection of nonsense to make you smile:

I got two different bits of campaign mail from Kerry on Saturday. Both contained photographs showing groups of women (a variety of ages and races). One was about healthcare. One was a general solicitation. NO MEN appeared in either ad.

The message: Men are useless as long as a guy like Kerry is around to take care of the womenfolk and their offspring.

I think that "strategy" would scare ordinary folks half to death.

Doesn't the author realize that the Toyota Prius sells in the same social mileau as pecan-encrusted salmon?

Unlike most freepers, I live in California, and if I wanted peacan-encrusted salmon, I'd order it from the menu. I run away from hot dogs and other downscale fare. But even I, from a upscale background living an upscale lifestyle, don't find Kerry appealing.

Curiously enough, one reason I find him unappealing is that I think he's trying to deny his roots. Pretending to eat at Wendy's when you go back in the bus for gourmet cuisine feels like hipocracy, like trying to deny his own roots and personality. I'd rather have an honest gourmet cuisine eater, or an honest hot dog eater, than a phony pretending to be someone he isn't.

And I think people sense that.

What has gone unmentioned by the MSM thus far is that earlier in the day on Friday the Dept of Labor will have released their final jobs report prior to the election. That may have an impact on things.

Now we know what Brice Lelond, John Kerry's cousin, was doing in Iran!

1. Wow
I like the one that claims Kerry is trying to run away from his roots. Sounds vaguely familiar, kinda like a guy born in Connecticut trying to pull off looking like a rugged cowboy from the Old West.

3. hmm...what does pecan-encrusted salmon
have to do with the price of eggs, i wonder?

(i've always liked that "price of eggs" comment, but now i've got an opportunity to use it and have mean something on various levels. w00t!)

4. The price of eggs is probably a bad example
Eggs seem to be one of the only staple foods that hasn't risen in price in the past 4 years. I can still get 18 eggs for $1.35.

Now milk, that's a different story.

Off I go, to learn how to be an "honest hot dog eater". :)

8. Good one! Social mileau, indeed!
Go back to your pecan encrusted salmon, ya wingnut! Isn't this the same group that had a shit-fit because Kerry ordered Swiss cheese on his Philly cheese steak? Wasn't he just keeping to his roots then? Yikes - you can't please these morans. But then, they don't often get out of their mileau, do they?

Or is that milieu? Tee hee!

9. Thanks for the laugh
I like the guy who says he's from an "upscale background living an upscale life" and he can spell neither pecan ("peacan") nor hypocrisy ("hipocracy").

Sounds like another "c" student to me.
