7. Cheney likes the sitting format because
1) He can pretend that he's on one of the Sunday morning programs that he has done hundreds of times. Cheney knows this format cold.

2) He can make farting noises with his hands.

8. WaPo reported Cheney nixed the Town Mtg style because Edwards
would do so well using his jury persuasion skills in that format.

Somehow I have trouble seeing Cheney in Oprah mode.

In trade, Kerry got three presidential debates. Which thinking about it now, might have not have been the best trade to make, considering how Kerry wiped the floor with Bush in the first one. I think Kerry could've handle two Presidential debates just fine.

12. Oh, I'm not saying he wouldn't do fine.
He'll do fantastic in the next two for sure. I just think it is a huge disappointment to have the sit down for Edwards. He could really knock one out of there on his feet.

15. I agree, a decisive Edwards win could cinch the whole thing
I bet the debate will either be a draw or a slight advantage to Edwards. With a town hall format, it would have been all over for Cheney. Edwards would have mopped the floor with him and I seriously believe that it might have been the end of the election. A TKO on Cheney could well end it along with Kerry's second KO of Bush in round two.

Though, now we get three debates, which is a little frightening for me. I think Kerry will win the town hall, but I fear Bush may have a comeback surprise in store for the final debate. Though, at that point any win would be moot for *.
