8. He's no cowboy
Notice how you never see pictures of him on horseback? Doesn't that seem a little odd for a good ol' cowboy ranchhand?

Dubya is afraid of horses! That's why he never rides. Some cowboy!

5. Does anyone like bush?
Is Bush really that bad? I'm only 14 and trying to get my head in the game. My parents are both independents. I am looking at a lot of sites. Everyone here seems to hate the president. Is he really that bad?

9. Welcome to DU
I'm an independent but Bush has been bad enough to me for me to vote democrat and probably become a democrat.

The main problem I have with Bush among many is that he supports one thing in public and then sabotages the same group in public. He tells the middle class they are getting a tax cut, but the tax cut mainly goes to the upper 2% of the american people. Bush engages in smear campaigns, ridicule, and fear instead of discussing real issues. Bottom line, Bush cares about Bush and not the American people and he thinks americans are too stupid to see through his duplicity or 2-faces. (see editorial on home page 2-faces.

12. For my part I try to hate no-one
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 02:31 PM by NCevilDUer
But I despise the policies that he and his neo-con and christian fundamentalist cabal (these being two distinct factions of his supporters) espouse. I think he is willfully ignorant, insecure, and dangerous. His posturing has cost us allies and united our enemies. He appoints regulators who are owned by the industries they are supposed to regulate. His administration is, and will one day (hopefully soon) be proved to be the most corrupt of this century -- quite an accomplishment, as 138 persons affiliated with the Reagan administration were convicted of crimes in office.

But I really try...really try not to hate him. I just want to see him out of office and, if at all possible, in jail.

Welcome, Indy, from one newbie to another.

13. Hate is a strong word...
...but woefully lacking as an understatement.

Bush IS that bad. His policies reflect that and I've seen firsthand the results.

He spikes innocuous sounding bills with special interest big business favors. And, I might add, to the detriment of employee health, financial necessity and safety.

He is everything and has done everything that a responsible president should not do. He is like Bizarro to Superman, and if you don't kneel before this particular Zod, he'll have someone knock you down and proceed to kick you until you sign his loyalty oath.

Did I use too many Superman references?

I think I used too many Superman references.

15. Bizarro is good...
I tend to lean toward 'Dark Lord of the Sith' or 'Lord Valdemort' references myself. Sauron works too.

14. Don't Hate Him, But Disagree With Almost Every Possible Choice He's Made
Honestly, he's probably not the kind of guy I'd hang out with, but he seems pretty easy to get along with (if you're not his political enemy).

The main problem is that he loves tough talk, and this leads him to listen to the people talking toughest (like Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz) instead of talking smartest (like Powell).

18. you do know his 'Ranch' Was a pig farm when he bought it don't ya?
That is why when ever you see him you are looking at a pig farmer. They don't need horses only something to load the manure in.

23. Like Father, Like Son
I was just reading this evening in Kitty Kelley's book about how George I was castigated in the press for always flip-flopping and being two faced. It was even featured on the cover of a Time Magazine. I wonder why George II hasn't been covered that effectively? Maybe some well placed letters to some editors?

Hatred won't get rid of them; it just makes the hater more like them.

W. is apparently well schooled in going back on his word, stretching the truth and lying about all sorts of things. It runs in the Family.
